Good poem; I have to admit there are quite a few metaphors I didn't fully catch, but that doesn't mean much since I'm really not so good at understanding poetry, even though I like to read it now and again. ^_^"
I liked your style of writing too... specific words used, and good, decent descriptive ones too: 'conflaguration', 'perish' 'crimson'.
^_^ Anyway, I'm not sure what else to say... not sure if you wanted your poem commented on or not. ^_^" Hope you don't mind!

Oh no, not you again....
*reads poem*
Hey, this one's actually very nice!
Excellent imagery, good pacing.
I'm impressed, truly!
My only qualm is that the rhyme scheme isn't perfectly consistent,
but perhaps you intended that for the poem's mood?
Oh and'Conflagration' was a bit of a mouthful too...

Yes it is, which is the point.
And just write off the imperfection as intended...or whatever poets say when they don't have any excuse.

How dare thee insult conflagration Esoteric! It is a beautiful word that needs be used more often. Strike a clapper and conjure that word more oft if you will Zarn! It's one of my fave's off the GRE word enumeration! Good job Zarn!

Oh no, not you again....
*looks around* I can't tell if you're talking about me or Zarn...
And is it just me, or do both your two (Pascal and Zarn) avatar's stare the same character?
Yeah, I like 'conflaguration'! Although I have to admit that the only time I remember actually seeing the word before this poem was as a move in the game 'Guild Wars'.

O_O;;;; I can only hope some day I'll be a fraction as good at the game called poetry as you are Zarn. If it isn't a personal issue or something you do not wish to reveal, could you please clarify the multiple parables and metaphors? most of them litteraly hit my head, bounced off, and were flung over. >_<;;;
for those of you like me who have a somewhat limited vocabulary heres what Conflagration means according to
http://www.dictionary.com
con-fla-gra-tion
Pronounce:[kon-fluh-grey-shuhn]
–noun: a destructive fire, usually an extensive one.
-noun: A large destructive fire.
-noun: a very intense and uncontrolled fire
QUESTION: who is that character in your avatar? Yours and Pascal avatar look near identical if not.

Voilà ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
That is his name!

You'd almost have to be specific in your inquiry, Cross.
Meaning, in quite humble terms, what in the bullhoggery are you having troubles with?
