but what of life have they to show?
Money, houses, cars, and things
in eternity come to nothing.

They stand before the judgement throne,
nothing of their lives be shown.
They put nothing at the Savior's feet,
and cast away: to Hell they greet.

Days will come, and days will go,
but what will you have of this to show?
Materials prizes and precious stones,
or sweet salvation and acts of love?
