A Poem

Well, I wrote this a while back, and JadeFox encouraged me to post it so _ -
My Prayer
I see and try again to grasp,
This life you’ve given me,
So willingly, you died that day,
So I could be set free.
How could you love me? I have sinned,
No, I’m not worthy Lord,
Yet still you love and care for me,
Why should I gain reward?
Through blinding tears I come to you,
And in your arms I’m held,
I confess yet one more sin,
You say that all is well.
Thank you, Lord, Oh, thank you, Lord,
For all that you have done,
I never could repay you, so,
For now this race I run.
To you, all glory I now give,
You know I deserve none,
For when I get to heaven,
You will count what I have done.
And when my name is called by you,
I will fall down at your feet,
For never a moment will there be,
That could ever be so sweet.
My Prayer
I see and try again to grasp,
This life you’ve given me,
So willingly, you died that day,
So I could be set free.
How could you love me? I have sinned,
No, I’m not worthy Lord,
Yet still you love and care for me,
Why should I gain reward?
Through blinding tears I come to you,
And in your arms I’m held,
I confess yet one more sin,
You say that all is well.
Thank you, Lord, Oh, thank you, Lord,
For all that you have done,
I never could repay you, so,
For now this race I run.
To you, all glory I now give,
You know I deserve none,
For when I get to heaven,
You will count what I have done.
And when my name is called by you,
I will fall down at your feet,
For never a moment will there be,
That could ever be so sweet.
