Upon the mercy seat
Streaming out confession
The Hallelujahs
The silent lips of the convicted
stream forth words of repentance

Praising God, feeling the Great One's hand
astral wings covering
The potter's hand molding clay
refining in the Holy Spirit's fire
like silver upon the altar

A living sacrifice, white as snow
This is what it means
to hear forgiveness's call
to feel the burdens lifted
feel as light as the new day's dawn
to understand the mercy of the Holy One

Very good and important messages and ideas in this, Gninja. I like the words you use: 'astral wings' 'silent lips' 'stream forth'.
I like this sort of poem, too; it's like, while reading, I can understand in part what you're saying, but because of the imagery I have to go back over it and think, 'I know what that means on the surface, but why did she describe it like that?', enabling me to think more deeply about the subject.
But I do have a question: by 'like silver upon the altar' do you mean like when silver's being refined? That's what I think -I'm just making sure. ^_^

No problem; I like poetry; sometimes I find it hard to read if it's too long or anything, but a couple of really descriptive verses are great tp browse through. ^_^
Whoot! I got it right!
