Poem "Purpose"

Purpose
Is it by destiny or by some unknown grace we were put on this Earth?
From the time of our birth, life can be a blessing or a curse,
It all depends on if you care to embrace the love,
Knowing there are others you can reach out to, in bitterness or peace,
Escape only erases the loveliness instilled with the great release,
As in these times every moment must be taken in the fullest,
For all will be revealed, the layers stripped away,
Seeing your very life flash before your eyes as you blossomed,
Taking in the different cultures and customs of this world,
Everything changes in an instant from the time the shell is broken,
Perhaps you’ll see how much power in every word that was spoken,
The luminous, loving light sharing what battles and plights endured,
In this road to discovery that everyone is facing alone,
Traveling back the way to the place we call home,
Where the happiness and ecstasy are a million times amplified,
No one knows suffering, crying, or strife,
The burdens we carry serve an immeasurable purpose,
To understand is not knowing why we are here now,
For who could explain how the universe or stars were formed,
The nature of life is to keep nourishing our souls, growing and growing,
Until we reach the point, where the love is completely overflowing.
“All that is now hidden will someday come to light. If you have ears, listen! And be sure to put into practice what you hear. The more you do this, the more you will understand what I tell you. To him who has shall be given; from him who has not shall be taken away even what he has.â€
