(It's not the city I cared about; but what I learned there)

eh, didn't know what I should post, but after going a through a few works I decided to give it a go and post something:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'its not the city i cared about, but what i learned there'
-----
tonight heaven appeared over the city
the sky turned from blue to gold
clouds solidified and shimmered brightly
and the air took on a different aroma
rays of sunshine broke through the walls
and this faint, cool breeze
like your non existant touch to my face
solidifies the fact i am alone
where are you?
everytime i turn around
the i catch the outline of your body
your hair graises my cheek
but you're gone, and i cannot find you
and nothing i can do will change this
certainty is hidden away
except my frame crumbling before you
why can't i find you?
i'm trying
am i looking in the wrong places
what did i overlook . .
since i can't find you, i wait for you instead
there are so many out there
who lie and say they may be you
they are kept at a distance
because of who you are to me :
i wait for you
. . but are you waiting for me
what are you learning right now
do things fall into place;
do circumstances matter to you
are you alone -
what is your reason for being so?
will you accept affection from anyone?
is the affection a currency
you trade for some sort of validation
do you turn to anyone's open arms
without a second thought?
or have you already loved
what sold you on the promise
and when it all fell apart
what made it devistate you
like it did
do you hold tightly to your past
can you see what you're part of right now
do you think of things like this ever?
do you look for me,
as i search for you?
i caught a glimpse of you,
under this sky painted in gold
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
umm might as well try to explain this, as i like to write in riddle like formats. i was driving over to a friends house, and while i was driving it was raining pretty heavily. when i got on tthe highway the rain stopped, the clouds broke apart and the whole sky was colored gold. it was probally the most beautiful thing i'd ever seen. for some reason, all these random thoughts started coming into my head. i'm not all that sure why, but i felt like writing to the my future wife. who i dont know or have yet. just asking really honest questions about things that i see alot of girls doing, and wondering how she's handling situations in her life at the momment.
well, now that i feel like an oober geek, i think im gonna call it a day and get ready for work. any comments/feedback is totally welcome
