just a poem i came up with on the spot just now. ^^ hope ya guys like it...

you love me and won't let me be

i was gone
but not for long
i was dying
but you kept trying

you wouldn't let me fall
you wouldn't let me die
you wouldn't let me just give it all away

i felt weak
and you were meak
i was down
so you made a frown

you wouldn't let me cry
you wouldn't let me go
you wouldn't let me throw it all away

why wouldn't you let me do my own thing?
i gave you so much pain
i felt like all i did was in vain
why wouldn't you let me do my own thing?

it's because you loved me
just as you do now
just as you always will
you want to protect me and keep me safe
for as long as you can

you wouldn't let me go
you wouln't let me cry
you'll just love me...
even after i die

ohhh... that was good! i can't rhyme to save my life, so comapared to me, that was awesome! to me it sounds like one of those poems like ya hear in colledge coffee shop or something like that. lol.

How inspiring. Even in our darkest hours, people we care about will come to our aid. Impressive rhyming.

I liked this one, c.t.. ^_________^ Again, I must make the disclaimer, I am not a poet; thus, I cannot comment on it as poetry only on the fact I enjoyed reading it. ~_^

lol i can't rhyme either...i don't do the structure...ever...but...i guess i sorta did structure...i sorta do my own thing with poetry...for me...it's like...something that I do. only cuz you can't copy it like you can art...to me...poetry is something that just flows and is at the moment...cuz if you don't write it down at that moment you won't feel the same about it when you write it later....so...most of my poems are on the spot. ^^

well, thats even better! i prefer poems that don't have the rhyme schemes, and "feet" and that sort of stuff; it just seems to make 'em meaningless. i wrote one about Jesus being my celebrity, and ironically, it was when i was between sleep and awake, and the radio was playing "Celebrity" from nsync at the time. i'm way over them now, but that's how i got it! *blushes*

To me, poetry's about feelings. Which is why if you get inspired all of a sudden, it's best to write it down right then and there, so you can put as much feeling into it. The fact that you made it rhyme made it all the more impressive, c.t.

Wait, I'm getting an inspiration right now. . .I think I'm about to post something in a few. Anyway, hope you write more poetry, c.t., you have obvious talent.

I like it ct, it has the rhythm of a song, almost.
