THis is a poem about Ireland (Eire) i believe is the correct spelling hehe never know lol

Across teh Eire shore
near the lake of old
lies the seal blown grass
swaying in the wind
All on the shore of Eire

Here is contemplation
Peace forevermore
Away from strife
and petty things
all on the shore of Eire

Lassies and lad galeful laughter
swell up to the sky
peaceful times
blessed memories
all on the shore of Eire

And you wait to hear
the whisltes of the breeze
sprouting the joyful melody
with wind blowin hair and twinkling eyes
dance on teh shore of Eire

Dance in joyful times
or hear with sorrow
toe the Master of All
Let your feet sway in rythmn
on teh shores of Eire

Dance full of thanksgiving
feel the heartbeat of the all
let your voice life in song
to the One who created All
upon the shore of Eire

Lifting your hands in laughter
lifting your hands in praise
Lifting the One who did it all
in the land of green
upon the shore of Eire

heh i was bored in class when i wrote this what can i say? LOL
hope ya like in any case ^^

Very nice poem. I like how you weren't bound into a rhyme scheme.

Great poem, i have always liked Irish culture and I may be of Irish blood (it gets a little tricky to trace your roots before 1790 when the first US census was taken, but other records show that i most likely have Scottish or Irish blood). Personally, it reminded me of the Irish folk songs i listen to (yes i do like Irish folk music, that may sound weird but it is actually very good music, but then again i like most music). Very well written. I liked how it didn't rhyme, and how all the amazing imagry was pulled together by the common ending of each stanza. Very nice. Have you ever considered writing poetry for publishing? You have talent.

Close, real close. Actually, it's spelled, "the", not "teh". Other than that, you were close.

Another common word used is Erin.

The poem was okay. Not really my kind of poetry, but, as has been stated, the imagery was good.

Oh, and Sparrowhawk, you are not alone. I love Irish music and folksongs. Actually, I like most anything Celtic in general. Although my bloodline stems from Scotland/Wales rather than Ireland.

Hmmm. That was really cool. I saw the shores of Ireland once. They're really beautiful. You should keep writing. If this is what you write when you're bored, I can't wait to see what you come up with when you're inspired!
