here some poetry then ^^

Samurai's Tale

Looking past the sea bent grass
white foamed waters crashed and swirled against eachother
they conflicted
fighting to see who would crash on the ocean's floor
sword in hand
his body and his weapon one
he danced his dance of death to his brothers
they fell one by one
clutching their crosses firmly
these brethren gave their final breaths
staring at the blue sky
prayers and praise still on their lips
the young warrior stopped and looked at the sea
both of bodies and water that now gently caressed them.
Is their more to this?
Is their more to life then a samurai's way?
He turned and walked back towards the sandy beach
away from the white foam and from the death of the saints.


i basically wrote this for historic reasons becuz during the Meiji govt. Christians were widely persecuted and killed. So this is a tribute to them in some ways ^^ heh no worries my other poems are less violent ^_^ i'll keep writing ^^

Interesting. Very interesting.

I like. The imagery is nice. The last lines are excellent - definitely echoing the samuri's thoughts in the sort of way you can imagine will keep him awake at night.

Where will I go that i am not blinded?
Where can i run where i will not stumble?
Where is their a step in this perilous journey
that is not fret with danger and death?
HOw long must i wait to see the earth be judged?
How long must i see the death of the little ones,
of the saints, of your people, of the lost?
Must i wait here idly
Must i sit here wth tear stained eyes and a broken heart
watching them
watching as they walk to their doom into eternal judgement
can i do nothing?
yet i look at you my father and brother
my mother, yes, even my sister
for you are everything
i look at you and wonder
did you dream this thoughts late at night
when the world you saw crashed around you?
on that night upon calvary where light became dark
and the faithful ran free and away from you to your Death.
Did you wonder how long you must endure this world?
Or rather did you question:
not of the death's of teh saints or the innocent or the guilty
but rather did you question:
Will the blind see, will the lame walk,
will those who you gave your life turn to you once again?
will those who have the chance led a helping hand
and use what's been given to them
to follow you?


ok this was off the cuff and unedited and i guess is more reflection *hmm i like that title* lol upon what i think some of us ask sometimes ^^ i'm exploring different poetry aspects i guess lol nearly all this i off the cuff but i think that will make it more interesting that way ^^ let me know what ya think ^^ heheh dancing nanners

What you call, "off-the-cuff" is known by some of us as inspiration. Usually, that's what makes a good poem. What makes it even better is to read it to yourself a few times to see how it sounds.

the moon's silhouette glow
consumes everything it touches.
casting it's light into the dark corridors
night starry skies
these celestial beings twinkling and dancing among
the painted sky.
lone people, castaways and untouchables
laying among their keep
gazing at these beautiful heavens
witnesses to the single creation
that will shake the world to it's foundation
and free men from themselves into eternal slumber
into eternal peace
these are the witnesses to the day of salvation

You probably kept hitting the reply button waiting for it to load up. Some forums force you to wait a set amount of time betwixt posts, in order to avoid that.

Here i sit in idle wondering
musing over the earth's mysterious mysteries
why the birds caw on the sunshine morning
why the wolves howl at the crescent moon
why one man came to live just to die
why the world is so afraid of the thing it needs most
why the demons chose death so willingly
why humans choose death even more
why people kill the innocent
where in a world up is down and in is out
the innocent pay for the guilty
why it seems that no matter the distance
we are still loved by a Father who we have not met
why even with imperfections he declared us perfect
why even though it stares us in the face
we willingly chose blindness to sight
why even in friendships
pain is apparent
why even in the body of christ
there is division in betrayal
why God puts up with such imperfect beings
why didn't he just erase us all with the Flood?
why is it only one man who stands up for truth
why do the good remain silent about the evil
why does evil win over good
why are the guilty let go and the innocent imprisoned
why are the "Successful" ones so blind
why do we hide from what we need
why does the Truth hurt us so much
why is darkness so much easier then light
why do we turn away from everything that matters
why do we give pearls to swine
and why do we wonder from the path set before us
why do we chase the things of this world
why do we ignore the pleas of our Father
why do we remain blind when light is before us?
why?

Why is it so easy to let the weak fall?
to let the guilty win?
to say yes to all that lays before us?

We allow the evil to exist
ignoring it's prescence
pretending it's not real
can such fantasies end our lives?

We excuse the inexcusable
always finding a way to lift ourselves up
yet tear down our brothers
can we truly think we are better then the rest?

yet we move on
declaring our righteousness
yet we are dotted with our imperfections
we hide them in our mask of "Better than"

Better than the murderer
who is now crying to God for forgiveness
better then the liar
who's life lays in shambles
better then the lost
when we are lost as well

this one is dedicated to a friend of mine i knew on here a long time ago he was truly an inspiring friend

You are no longer here my friend
but your marks are left
like the footprints on the sand of the heart
do not think you are forgotten

though i only knew you are short while my friend
you left inspiring dots upon the soul
you will not be left to rot in the base of memory
but it'll last as far as i am alive
you are not forgotten

The struggles you may face my friend
know you are not alone
God has not abandoned you
and neither has a simple friend's prayer
you will not be left alone

Though it's been awhile my friend
though i may not see you again
though your world may grow dark
know you have left your memories
upon a heart when i needed a friend the most
you won't be forgotten
my prayer and thanks my long ago friend

Are you silent before the screaming masses?
Or did i turn a deaf ear?
Are you invisible to the tortured souls
or is it im just to blind to see?

WHere did you go when i called?
where were you when i fell?
Why did i feel the talons of despair
when the wings of heaven should have been there?
Or am i just unable to feel you anymore?

Have i decided to wander from the path set before me?
Am i weaker then i can imagine?
Are you there in weakness
or must we be strong?
Will you be my strength
am i worthy of such love?

In these musings i must admit
that i fail to see the movings of the world
that you alone know it all
so is it for me to question?
the maker of the universe
help me to see
to feel
to hear

sappy?!?!?!!? I happen to think this one is the best of all you have posted, You are truley talented keep writing.

Your poems follow a distinct pattern. I suppose all of our poems do.

i suppose that is the sequential portion in my brain...i love to write tho i feel that i lack that quality needed to truly write profoundly and well.../smile heh perhaps i should just stick to martial arts

you didn't discourage me i just am getting discouraged in general with my writing /smile it's not coming out how i like it >< heh but it's ok i'm too stubborn to stop writing lol even if it isn't that good ^^

good, I used to write poetry myself, but I haven't for a while had other things to do, and I seem to have lost my ability to Creaty what I think of as poetry. oh well so go life. anyhow keep it up you have some marvelous stuff here
