Deeper Down

OOC: Don't be worried about the depression, folks, this is how I get it out, rather than more boring forms like punching pillows or what have you.

“Deeper Downâ€
With your doubt, all is comfort
We are all as we appear
No more questions left unanswered
No more wonder, no more fear
Nothing is beauty, nothing's feeling
Blood where there once was a soul
So I ask you, prove yourself
Make me believe that you are whole

(sigh)

You know, Zarn, your writings creep me out...mostly because I feel like I know what you're talking about...

Not really....eh.....

weirdness is, like all things, in the eyes of the beholder.
With your doubt, all is comfort
We are all as we appear
No more questions left unanswered
No more wonder, no more fear
Nothing is beauty, nothing's feeling
Blood where there once was a soul
So I ask you, prove yourself
Make me believe that you are whole

Your ending surprised me. Why did you decide to end the poem in that way? You have good descriptions though.

[i]Two vast and trunk-less legs of stone stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away. On the pedestal these words are inscribed:

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€

Images dwell inside of us long after their cause is gone.

Again, the memories of people often haunt us, even though that person still lives.

It haunts is a crying out of those who still haunt my mind.....family, friends, special people...
