Poem with a positive ending: Stay (plz comment?)

Postby Kry » Sat Apr 15, 2006 7:48 am

Here we have another example of my poetry. This one has a positive ending though, for those who didn't like my last one because the peom itself wasn't so positive. So yay for positive endings! I wrote this one only last week, so what do you think?

STAY

Its the end of your world,
Its all falling apart.
Crashing in on your perfect life,
And ripping out your heart.

What will you do now?
Only one last moment to decide.
What will you do with this tattered life?
Breathe, you have not yet died.

Don't be afraid...
Embrace a new beggining.
Leave behind your old life,
Live and learn from your past ending.

Your heart still beating within your cheast,
Time to re-create.
Re-insprire.
Choose your new life, new fate.

Inspire a happy ending,
Let God lead the way.
Your world can be of great wonder,
Just don't give up, stay.

Never give up....stay.

It's good to, Your other poem was good as well. Don't be afraid to express your heart or say what God is telling you to say.
Tis No Fool to lose what he can not keep to gain what he can never lose.
What does it profit a man to gain the World yet lose his soul.
Choose Life that you Might live.

There's nothing wrong with sad poems. They can make us think, and help process feelings.

Anyway, nice message. Hopeful things are always appreciated. I found your use of "stay" interesting. That does not mean bad. It's just interesting.

[i]Two vast and trunk-less legs of stone stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away. On the pedestal these words are inscribed:

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€
