What did you get for Christmas?
(Samantha and Rachel enter scene)
Rachel: Are you leaving already?
Samantha: Yeah, I really am not much into the whole Christmas thing.
Rachel: Are you sure you won’t come in and enjoy the rest of the party we are about to exchange the gifts.
Samantha: You know what they say, ‘what can you get the person who has everything.’ No I’m just going to head out and on home.
Rachel: Well be careful on your way back. There is a lot of ice on the roads tonight and it’s awfully slick.
Samantha: Don’t worry I’ll be fine.
(Samantha and Rachel exit scene)
(Claries enters the scene siting at the help desk, then Samantha enters the scene)
Samantha: Wow! This doesn’t look like the way home. Where am I? Hey what’s going on here?
(Seeing Claries Sam approaches)
Claries: Welcome. How may I help you?
Samantha: Well you can tell me where I am for starters?
Claries: That’s not as important as where you’re going.
Samantha: Excuse me?
Claries: Now if you will simply answer this one question we can complete all the necessary procedures and you may move on.
Samantha: Look, I just want to know where I am and what’s going on here?
Claries: If you would just simply answer this question right here *hands note pad to Sam* everything will be explained shortly.
Samantha: All right, I’ll answer the question. *Reads notepad* What did you get for… Christmas? What kind of question is that? Is this some kind of joke?
Claries: It’s no joke, and in fact you could say it’s a matter of life and death. Well more of a matter of death really. We are already past that first part.
