__________________________
i hear you calling
but it's faint
i see your light
but it's faint
once again these walls feel like they're closing in
i'm in a lead box
and i'm dying for breath
i need you to breath in me once more
come back
come back to me
why did you leave
do i not matter
no
you didn't leave
i left
and i don't think i can come back
i'd like to come back
but i'm lost
i'm lost in the darness
this none stop darkness
i'm not even on a path
i'm in darkness
i see a light
but it's faint
are you holding the light
is that you
why don't you come and help me
why don't you bring me on the right path again
i shout for help
but i have no sound
no one hears me
i'm all alone
i'm gunna die
i don't want to die
not yet at least
i'm scared
does anyone care
have you all gotten on with your lives
are you all happier without me
fine
live your greedy little lives
you'll regret it
you'll regret not having me around
the light...it leaves
i can't see it anymore
have you given up on looking for me
do i not matter anymore
i hear another shout...
it's just as quite as mine was
can i help them
can they help me
maybe we can help each other
i look for the person
it's to dark
i'll never find them here in this complete and utter darkness
i can’t see
it’s just too dark
i hear things
not things that i think could save me
but things that scare me
things that i think could and probably want to kill me
am i going to die right here and now
will I die here sad scared and alone
does anyone care
do I matter at all
do I matter to you

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

I won't give up on you, Kris, and I know there are so many people here on CAA who feel the same! I'm sorry that I don't help you as I should. Please believe that I mean to. I am trying, but I'm afraid I fail miserably most of the time. Sorry.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I feel the same way when I'm facing a really tough trial.

Poetry is always part of what we feel inside. I've learned that and it's annoying that i cant find any of the poetry that i wrote when i was depressed cuz that could probably help you. Just knowing that you're not the only one who has gone through these things. Glomps chris

The poem itself is a really good one :)
Absence is to love as wind is to a flame. It extinguishes the little, it ignites the great.

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

When i argue with reality I lose.....But only 100% of the time.

Once you've decided on a course of action, only you can finish it. As long as you remember that, there's nothing you can't accomplish.

Oooh, yeah! You wrote a poem! I like it! Will say more later, need sleep. :)

For me peotry is a way of pooring all of these things that I get inside of me out into words. You capture those well.

i know what you mean, you said earlier that poetry is your way to escape well its the same here. it's like the only time your truly yourself is when your writing, and the words start to come to you and you get lost in them. its like your way of protecting yourself because you can tell the world whats inside your soul and yet at the same time no one fully comprehends how deep the words are how rooted they are inside you. its like your message that needs to be heard that your too afraid to speak. i'm here for you and i do care.
