Don’t Stay Down


Why are you sitting there looking sad
Who are you waiting for
And why won’t they come
How long are you going to sit there
Letting life pass you by
Even though you feel you can’t get up
I know you can at least try

Do you want to get up and walk with me
Just take my hand now
I will gladly help you back up
If you’ll just trust me
I can help you through this
If you spread your wings you’ll soon
Be flying like an eagle

Aren’t you glad you’re not still sitting there
Just waiting like an empty hope
Don’t you feel better now
You know you can stand on you own
So you can tell another person now
Life doesn’t have to get you down
