I must go on

Postby Jaltus-bot » Wed Dec 22, 2004 11:52 am

I sit here
As I pray
The pain of life
Swallows me whole
The pain of death
Kills hard my soul
I must go on

In this cathedral
Secret of my life
The dark shadows
Fall around me
Lost and withered
In lonely silence
I must go on

And God’s ones now above
He looks on me with love
All the years I passed it by
Seems so cold now in memory
Now blind from hope
Away from love
I must go on

Shadows of death
Reach for my soul
Life seems no longer in this place
I cannot feel the arms of love
A world without hope
I stumble towards the light
I must go on

Break all of the windows
And tear open the doors
Release my soul
Till I am free
Then life is in this place
And death shall reign no more
I must go on
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

:waah!: *stands up and gives a standing ovation* breautiful! just beautiful!

i know from my own experiance that poems are what ppl are like on the inside...i guess i haven't opened up lately seeing as how i haven't written in a while. i really love your writting. as ppl have probably said, it hits so close to home. i like stuff like that. great job!

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

Excellent poem. I really identify with it. For me, I felt like the whole poem culminated into the last stanza. "Break all of the windows..." That felt like the climax. That would be my favorite part. Like everyone else has been saying, your poetry hits close to home. Keep up the great work.

Lonely Silence

Postby Jaltus-bot » Tue Jan 04, 2005 12:29 am

And the silence continued on
Icy silence of isolation
A mad uncertainty
Empty in the silence
Words continued on
All saying nothing
Perpetual silence
Alone in the quiet
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

She danced upon the stars

Postby Jaltus-bot » Mon Jan 10, 2005 11:13 pm

All alone
She danced the night away
She danced upon the stars
And held the moon in her hand

Futures unknown
And dreams just now began
She just went on forever
Her life began out there

She danced
Continually on
To a song that was her own
She made its melody

In her room
She was so enchanted
Beauty of the heavens
She dreamt the night away
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

In shades of grey
We live our lives
Wandering on
Till dusk becomes the night
We wander towards the light

And through the night
To black and white
From shades of grey
Receive new lives
And we go on
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Untitled

She cried not saying a word
As lonely tears of silence
Poured down her small face
The pains and tears of life
Now twisted her young mind
Like a sort of dark crevice
It’s from this she sought to be free
And we know that one day she will be

I am Always With You

Life’s journey has begun
And though it‘s not easy
I promise I’ll be with you
You might not always see me
But I am always there

In the moments when you hurt
Or feel like you can’t go on
I am there hurting too
But know there is nothing
That you can’t rise above

Please know whatever happens
And whatever you go through
There’s nothing that must stop you
I can’t walk this path for you
Though I am always with you
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Everything that should be right
Seems so wrong
Am I really that far gone?
Everything that should go right
It never seems to come out fine
Where did it go?
Why did it fall?

Everything that should be right
Seems so wrong
Where has really it all gone?
All this dark just want to fight
All I want is to get out fine
Where did it go?
Why did it fall?

Everything that should be right
Seems so wrong
Why has my peace all but gone?
I’ve got to get back alright
This peace that used to be mine
Where did it go?
For God I call

Everything will soon be right
Not so wrong
By grace I won’t stay gone
The end will still be alright
And everything soon will be fine
Sin has to go
To God I call
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Remembering (Title?)

Postby Jaltus-bot » Wed Feb 09, 2005 4:32 pm

In everywhere I go
I am reminded of you
In the air
In the grass
In the lights that pass me on the highway

The times still remembered
Histories not forgotten
When I sleep
When I wake
When I live each moment of the day

All the forget memories we had
The things that we once shared
I try to forget
I try to move on
Echoes of the past always draw me near
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

You are Precious

Postby Jaltus-bot » Wed Feb 16, 2005 12:25 am

You are more precious
Than every jewel in the world
You are a child of God
A son or daughter of the King

You need not be great
You need not be perfect
Just be yourself
You are wonderful in who you are

You are loved beyond words
Worth more than words can tell
Nothing one can ever do or say
Can ever take that away
When I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Very nice, Jaltus.

(Hey, do you take that name from Suikoden 1?)
With your doubt, all is comfort
We are all as we appear
No more questions left unanswered
No more wonder, no more fear
Nothing is beauty, nothing's feeling
Blood where there once was a soul
So I ask you, prove yourself
Make me believe that you are whole
