Has Lone Wolf and Cub been animated?

According to Leonard Maltin's movie guide, there is a series of live-action movies based on Lone Wolf and Cub. So I was wondering if it's been animated too.
No. AFAIK there isn't.
Yeah there is a series of movies done in the 1970's, put out by AnimEigo. Personally I thought only the first was worth getting. However be advised they have graphic violence, nudity and a lot of sexual violence in it. I think it's close to "Ninja Scroll" level there.
