Gday everyone!
I am still experiencing the wonders that is my library, and have found quite a few manga titles in there. There are some in there that I have never heard of, and cant find a christian review for them. If anyoen has read any of these, could you tell mewhat the storylines are and if they have any objectionable content in them?
No Need for Tenchi
Silent Mobius
Teppen
King of Bandits
Marmalade Boy
Kodocha Sana's stage
Mars
Clamp School Detectives
Paradise Kiss

While I haven't read No Need For Tenchi, if it's anything like the anime series be prepared for lots of innuendo, a sprinkling of profanity, and some possible nudity. I saw the "cartoon network" version, but I'm well aware of the painted on swimsuits and changed dialogue to make it more kid friendly.

I wish my library had manga! I definitely recommend Marmalade Boy (it's a personal fave) and Kodocha.
Marmalade Boy is about a high-schooler named Miki who is shocked when her parents come home from a trip and announce that they're getting a divorce. Not only that, they're switching partners with a couple that they met on their trip! Miki is understandably very upset about this, and goes with her parents to meet the other couple and their son. She hopes that the son would be on her side in opposition to the switching partners, but to her surprise he's fine with it! Plus, he seems to be a real jerk, at least to her. And so begins a crazy journey on which there are ups and downs and twists and....lol, I sound like a commentator. I really love this series and totally recommend it.
Kodocha is a very cute romantic comedy about a hyperacitve, 11 year old actress named Sana. Sana is a very happy, loving girl, but a boy named Akito is messing up her perfect world. At school, he stirs up a group of boys in his class every day so that they never get any work done. She gets really annoyed by this, and does what's in her power to get him to stop. Although very lighthearted most of the time, this series can get serious, and is worth reading. Hope I've helped!

I've read some of Kodocha, and it's a pretty clean series, like Indigo_Eyes said. Very funny. I recommend! ^__^

I've read to volume six in Mars.
It is the story of violent biker- who all the girls at his high-school have the hots for- that ends up falling for a shy artist. It's rated teen for thirteen and up but I'd give it a T+ rating. First the positive aspects...The series has nice artwork...Kind of strange but it fits nicely and is easier to read then most. It has a very captivating story. The negative thing is that it get's pretty violent. There are attempted suicides and some violent fights. I didn't really mind them too much though. The worst thing about this title is there is a lot of sexual innuoindos (sp?). Rei, the main character-sleeps around at the start. There are a lot of dirty jokes and such. The two main charcters have sex in volume ten (I glanced through it.) It has a very captivating story but there's a lot of sex talk...

I've read a few of the Tenchi's and they are cleaner than the OVA series. They still have their moments but not nearly as much as the OVA's. So yeah...I've only read about three of them though...I would recommend two of the ones I've read but I can't remember which volumes they were :sweatdrop:

I've read all of the Tenchi manga thats out so far and it does have fanservice and some sexual jokes but they aren't a HUGE part of the series. Some of the volumes barely have any at all. The manga has a lot more fighting than any of the anime series did. It's almost like a much much shorter version of DBZ.
CLAMP school is pretty fun. There really isn't anything that that objectionable about it. It's just three elemtary schoolers who create their own detective service and solve crimes on their campus. most of the cases are little fluffy type things, like finding the lost pet of some damsel in distress, or locating a missing computer disc. I think the appeal of the manga comes from the main characters' quirky personalities. The anime is also pretty good, and it actully has a longer plot near the end, where the detectives have to figure out the identiy of a mysterious hacker who's causing trouble all over the school. Unfortinitly, it's only avalible on subbed VHS, and I think it's out of print. darn bandai!

Well THAT's a change... a manga that's cleaner than the anime O.O
Ok, I might try it out but if it gets too bad I'll stop

I've never read Mars personally, but from what I've heard of it I wouldn't recommend it. It sounds like it deals with a lot of unkosher or mature themes, like rape and suicide and premarital sex. Someone correct me if I'm wrong there. o_o;

Another manga that is cleaner than the anime is Please Teacher...The anime I've heard is pretty much all fanservice. The manga has barely any fanservice...Only like 4 scenes. The worst is a shower scene. pretty barbie dollish but still unnecessary. Asides from that it is a great romantic comedy manga. It's extremely short at 2 volumes. The manga is called Onegai Teacher. Hope we've all helped you.

Yeah, Clamp School Detective will be clean. You should pick that one up. Not Clamp's best work, but it's a good place to start.
