I was just curious as to whether or not any of the older members were reading this title. If you aren't, you might want to know that volume three has a parental advisory label on it.

Why, you ask? There is swearing, blood, thematic elements, and the fact that Chizuna, to quote her brother, is 'such a twisted woman."

On the plus side, the artwork is wonderful. Make that it can be wonderful and is generally good. Look at the covers (ignoring the label on three, which looks utterly out of place) and the pages between chapters. Beautiful.
Almost haunting.

The pages between chapters are also the closest it gets to fanservice, with Chizuna in a sailor outfit. No nudity at all. :jump:

Now allow me to explain why one of the cons is required. It is at its core a vampire story. The Takashiros have had a disease for generations which makes them want blood. The main character is a Takashiro that is just starting to suffer from the illness, and is trying to make sense of that new world.

Did I mention that Chizuna is freaky? You see...
after her mother died from the disease, her father dumped her brother on friends and took off with her in tow. The only reason he kept her is because she reminded him of his wife. When he finally figured out she couldn't replace her mother, he killed himself. After a failed attempt to kill her.
Of course, you stop feeling for her when she realizes Kazuna (brother dear) reminds her greatly of father. *shudder*

Man...I really want to get that manga...I've been thinking about getting it. It was one of the cleanest mangas that are still disturbing that I've seen in a long time. If I ever feel like I really need to go out and buy some more manga I think that I'm going to get it. I'm glad that you told me there was no fanservice...I've skimmed through it and didn't see any but was still wondering.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to withdraw my endorsement. I bought volume four last night and they kiss. Blast.

From the preview at the back of the book, it looks like it's not going to be a one time thing.

The phrasing did sound rather arrogant, didn't it. Sorry.

Dad-Gummit...I have the first three...And I really love the series thus far, I'll probably wait until Vol 5 comes out and if there's more of that I'll drop it. Thanks for the info.
