So, who's read volume four? I got it today. I practically broke down in tears of happiness when I realized that my book store had stocked it a week early.

Just thought I'd say that in case some of you were stricken temporarily blind before you read the thread title. So, I have a bit of a question for those who read v. 4. You know at the end when Yuki finds the hat? Well, were we suppose to infer that the kid who lead Tohru home was Yuki or Kyo. I always assumed it was Kyo, but maybe I was wrong about that.
So, I don't know if anyone has read it yet, but if you have I'd love to discuss this question, favorite passages, awesome quotes, ect.

Even though I haven't read it, I believe it was Kyo. It couldn't have been Yuki since he was always confined to the main house in order to be 'educated' by Akito. Well, at least that is what I think...people always argue about that.

Well I haven't read it yet either, and I think it is still Kyo. Mostly like Cedahlia said, Yuki was confined to the main house, but also: listen to this . . .

Remember in the anime the ep that had people talking about how children of the rat were special compared to children of the cat? Well Yuki always wore a kimono and Kyo was wearing a outfit that was almost exact to the one the boy who gave Tohru the hat was wearing. . . . so I think it was Kyo. ^^ YAY go Kyo!!!!!! He deserves her more anyway. Also the boy who gave her the cat was more like I would imagine Kyo as a child, he wouldn't really go near her or talk to her and just up and left her once she was home,Yuki would have at least said somethings to her.

Here's another thing: you know how the little boy led Tohru to the house, and stayed ahead of her? Well Kyo isn't one to physically get too close to a person, and I think that if Yuki had been the one to lead her there that he would have led her by the hand.

I haven't read the 4th yet (as we don't get it here till near end of the month) but I do think the boy was Kyo. Besides having dk. hair and similar style (sporty) clothes, Kyo was listening in (3rd bk.) when the girls recounted the story. If Yuki found it, perhaps he'd recall whose it was.

Please, don't tell me anything I wouldn't know until after four.

Yeah, my thoughts on the boy by what I've read in four follow with the opinion stated prior to me(Sorry, I can't remember who said it). Kyo would be the kind who would let her fall but not let her loose him. Further more if you reread two you notice:
(the following is Ms. Manga's Paraphrase of Fruits Basket. Please don't quote me on it. It occurs right after she's told Uo and Arisa about the hat and the boy.)
Uo:The story would have been better if you met him later and fell in love.
Tohru(maybe): I'll never see him again.
Arisa: You never know, it's a small world.

If you look at that dialogue box, there's a little arrow connected to it pointing at Kyo. Hmm. . .

Thats what i was wondering? I got sooo cunfused. How big of a fan are you of Fruits basket Becuase Im such a freak about it?! I bought all the books up to book 4, a huge poster of kyo and the whole series on DVD! Plus Im still gonna get some more! YAY FRUITS BASKET! BOO AKITO beause hes EVIL,scary,EVIL,lonley,EVIL,depressing,need I say more. LOL I just love that!^_^

Woo, finished vol 4 today...I was dying to see this thread! Even being the Yuki x Tohru fan I am, I was very touched by the ending scene on the porch. *sniff*

My Barnes & Noble didn't have it when I went a couple of days ago. I have to check Books-A-Million for it now.

But I also like Aya 'cause he's the snake. I like Snakes. I also like Rat's....so Yuki's my second fave.....then Kyo, then Shigure....then Momiji....then Hatsuharu....then Hatori....then Akito *yes, I said Akito*.....then Ritsu....then Hiro.

I can probably guess that not too many people like Aya. *sigh* Oh, well.

On-Topic: I heard Aya's in here! Please, IS THIS TRUE?! If so....Is it basically the same from the anime series? If not...please tell me what's going on in it.

Hmm well manga and others maybe the artists put the arrow on Kyo's shirt there on purpose . . . . hehee, could be . . . ^^
I still believe it is Kyo! They are the cutests together and if they dont get together Kyo is miiiiineee! *glomps Kyo*
