I don't know, but personally, since I've already watch the anime, I think I will wait until the stuff after the arcs with Shishio and that guy who though he was Jesus end, then start picking it up.

I'm personally waiting for the final arcs.
Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away.

I only have the first issue, but I read up to 8 in scanlations, and to me, it is very much worth it. But that's my humble opinion...:)

BOOSTER: Hey, No.1! Where's my cake?!
SNIFIT 1: Booster, Sir! There's a 70% chance the object you're standing on is a cake.
BOOSTER: What? THIS thing's a cake?

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

I have Volume #1 and #2 and I have to say that it is one of my favorites.

I'm going to get Volume #3 as soon as I can.

There was a guy who thought he was Jesus? Not what I heard...I just heard he was a Christian, and everyone else thought he was Jesus.

Aren't all of us God's children?

Oh well, doesn't matter. I hope that's what he meant...anyway, that's not the Jinchuu Arc, is it? I heard that the third animated season of RK was being made at the same time that the Jinchuu Arc was being written. Is that true?

Yes.
Which is one of the reasons why the Kenshin anime after the Kyoto arc is not considered as good as the previous arcs by many fans.

I have vol. 1 and 2 and I think if you really like the show it would probably be worth it to get em. Not everything in the manga and the anime are exactly the same and the Christian guy in the anime isn't even in the manga. That part of the anime was just made while they were waiting for the Jinchuu arc of the manga to get far enough along so they could start animating it, I think.

Perhaps.
But the series was cancelled before they could animate the Jinchuu arc.

Maybe their audience dropped cause the story arcs of the third tv season were mostly filler and it was taking them so long to get up to the Jinchuu arc that people got bored or something. lol

They need to animate it...is Anime Works a fan-subbing company? It seems like it, from the liner notes...

If anyone can, would someone give me a list of ALL the Rurouni Kenshin DVDs and the manga? I mean, how many volumes are there in each, and what else is there besides Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal, and Samurai X: Reflections? I heard there was something like Samurai X: Tetsukonen or something like that.

I need a checklist...I'm getting everything RK.

I personally recommend Rurouni Kenshin (I have the whole series ^^), do expect bloodshed and murder. The manga runs until Vol 28 I think... (so be prepared for it if you wish to buy the whole set in the long run). Be careful while surfing the Net, you'll run into a lot of spoilers.

Interesting characters with good values, good messages, GREAT action, female characters respected (hardly any fanservice), historical background, beautiful art...yeah, that's why I got it.
