No, those aren't downloads, those are actually soundtracks I own and paid for, mostly from promotional release gift sets. Haha, you don't want to see the Video game music download list, but those are mostly remixes.

Remix = good!

Let's see, we have:

Eternal Arcadia full OST
Zelda: OoT Hyrule Symphony
Fire Emblem
...what am I forgetting? There's another but I can't remember it right now...oh well...

I have Grandia 2, Shogo (partially downloaded [legally, before you ask :shady: ... Monolith offered the mp3 files], partially created from Virtual PC sampling as well as from the .smk intro files), No One Lives Forever, the audio files from Bugdom (which are really nice music), and the redbook tracks from Carmageddon, Descent and Descent II. It's surprisngly easy to rip tracks from games, and if you have a Mac with OS X, thanks to Core Audio, you can use WireTap for those other titles that don't give up the gold so easily. There's some equivalent utilities for Windows that let you capture the audio output from your computer to do the same thing.

I should say that Grandia 2, Shogo and NOLF are all official soundtracks. The others are self-made redbook or WireTap rips.

Hey I am a bit archaic but does anybody remember the jamming soundtrack to Streets of Rage on the Sega Genesis circa de 1991. I think it was the first techno/jazz soundtrack used in a video game. I think the composer was shiro Kazuki or something like that but he was awesome.

A dear friend of mine dubbed the Sonic 3-D soundtrack that I think was on the Saturn before it went bust. That was a slamming soundtrack.

Does anybody remember Blue Sky from Daytona USA. That is probably one of my favorite game songs.

Does anybody know where I can buy video game soundtracks legitimately?

Blessings,
WillieDoc

http://www.amazon.com

Their sales, not the secondhand store. Basically only buy new not used... Though, I don't think pirate copies of the Video game soundtracks are as big of a problem as the anime soundtracks, but I may be wrong...

I've only got 3

Deus Ex (from the GOTY set)
Myst 3: Exile (from the collectors ed. box set)
Jet Force Gemini (Rare posted the MP3s, but my copies are from somewhere else, better copies).

I'd like to get a few others (Zelda, Myst, few others)... finding them can be a trick.

I downloaded a Zelda remix the other day... it's part 1 of a 4 part piece... really good stuff (I've got a few others I've downloaded too)... going to have to make use of my Mom's broadband again :D

Some of them I've seen at Fry's, but mostly unusual or big blockbuster titles.

Hey, Shooraijin. Where's Fry's? Thanks BobtheDuck. I'll look into Amazon.

The Castlevania theme music from the 1st 3 games back in the days of Nintendo were awesome and were remixed in subsequent sequels. That's another one I would love to have.

Blessings,
WillieDoc

Man, was I just humbled. I checked out the stuff at Amazon and not one thing was under $30. Can someone invite me over to jam with them?

> Hey, Shooraijin. Where's Fry's?

*jaw drops* You ... don't ... have a ... Fry's? :o

It's a national chain of electronics stores with clueless staff, strangely designed aisles, low to average level prices, and just about everything in electronics, DVDs, video games, computers and equipment ... but no one knows where stuff is kept, so you'd better go with a shopping list, and tell your relatives where you went in case you wind up lost in the store somewhere.

Man, that must be a West Coast thing. You all are closer to the Orient than Georgia is. Is it really set up like an abyss?

But there may be some video game music sellers here in Atlanta. But where to find them...
