Been meaning to post something like this for a while. Now let's see just how much this would actually last. XD
I got the idea (and title) from an art board I regularly go to where they had a thread like this which someone commented as something "to enlighten young members who have lost hope in drawing through fearing that they are not improving." But that's because a lot of people there are just so awesome and a lot of us less experienced folks do feel like chopped liver there. XD
But anyway, the point is to muster up enough courage to post one of your earlier drawings (preferrably drawings that were taken with a degree of seriousness, not like 7-year-old's doodles or such, you understand ^^;; ), and through that you could actually check (and feel good about) your progress and encourage beginners by showing that art skills come by practice and not by magic.
Here's mine anyway. It was the very first anime fanart I ever did without tracing. This was four years ago and I spent well over 2-3 hours slaving over it. ^^;; I copied it from the cover of Vol. 11 of the Rurouni Kenshin manga.
