Looks awesome, keep up the good work! :thumb:

Also to add, I like the eyes.

Yeah, eyes were the first thing that I really fell in love with about anime and manga... the way that you could easily express so much emotion with just showing the eyes. Here's another pic; this is my latest character, Stacie, from a manga I haven't started yet, called "Stacie Normal."

Okay, here's some more. These are the 3 different pictures that comprise the front cover of the manga I'm currently working on, Mouseflies Issue 4. The first image is the main image, and will be centered on the page. The second image will be going on the left side of the page, and the third image will be going on the right side of the page.

Punk!!

Okay, here's one of the cutest of my characters! This is Punk! She's a 5-year-old Welsh Mountain Pony. I grew up around horses (most of them WMPs), and I've always been kinda sad that people don't take the time to accurately depict them in comics (except for the "Spirit" movie, that was awesome ^_______^), so I decided to start my own comic about a pony. Ponies are great because they're like 2-year-old children. They will do anything for attention, which most of the time involves getting into trouble. Some of them can be real brats, while others can be total sweethearts. Punk's personality is really more like my own personality than any of my other characters'. I'm clumsy and get in trouble a lot and sometimes it seems like all I can do is make people mad, and Punk is the same. But then one night Jesus comes to her stall and says that He loves her and His Father has a plan for her. She might not know what it is yet, but she's conforted by the fact that God has a plan for everyone. Even for a little pony with a broken nose. ^_^

Ps> this picture is from the cover of Punk's second comic, Punk-Squared. Anyone who is familiar with showing horses will catch the pun there. ^_^

Here is another picture of Punk. This is my favorite picture of her so far. It's from her first comic, when she's telling all the different ways she's gotten into trouble. This one is from when she stole a blanket from a little baby and went prancing away with it. There's a lady who wants to make this picture into a sculpture to go along with the comics if I ever get them published.

Lineart has always been a hard thing for me. Up until about 3 months ago, I was using regular inkjet paper to draw on, and usually had to spend about 1/2 hour to an hour editing, filling in gaps, and finishing lines that didn't scan before I actually got to the rendering part. But then I started using Blue Line Pro's manga paper, and it's really smooth. I still get gaps once in a while, but it's a drastic improvement from what it used to be.

Anyway, here's another picture for you guys. This is a pencil sketch that I did a while back for a section of my old website that was called Reina's Sketchbook. This is one of the characters from Mouseflies, named Sarah. But then, I'm sure you figured all that out already. ^_~

[edit: For my next trick, I'll actually include the picture in the post!]

(except that i draw them sort of skinnier.... fine! you draw ponies but there isnt really that much difference other than size...)

Thanks! Yeah, I got into the manga world through the anime and manga of Sailor Moon, so I think it's understandable that they kinda look like that style. ^_^ But I think that I've started to define my own style, too.

This is totally unrelated to anime or manga... I play Neopets in my spare time (SPARE! HAH!!), and I just finished drawing a picture of my Peophin, Kairi. It came out spectacular, so I thought I'd share it with you. ^_^ BTW, believe it or not this picture is composed of 27 layers!

Nice work! 27 layers, huh? I have yet to make a pic with that many layers, LOL

Yeah, I basically did every enclosed area in another layer. For example, her mane is in 6 layers... her mask is in 3 layers, her eyes, face, and both nostrils are on layers of their own... etc. It took me a good 2 hours, but I think I've finally found the ultimate way to color. ^_^ (For me, anyway.) Here's another picture. Oh, and in case anyone out there is wondering why I'm drawing pictures of Neopets, it's for beauty contests in which you can win a crapload of stuff to use on the Neopets stuff. And btw, if there's any rich Neoplayers out there, I could really use an Island Paintbrush! ^_~
This picture is of what's called a Gelert. It's kinda like a dog. This one is named Elaquamya, and before people freak out about how to pronounce the name, there are 92,457,985 Neopets out there, so you have to be extremely creative when coming out with new names. Anyway... here's the pic! [edit] I was going to explain what he's saying... the other pets he's naming are my other pets. Sometimes in beauty contests, people will draw their pets crying and sad and begging, to try to get more votes.

Awwww, he's cute...such sad puppy dog eyes...;) Love the curly ears too...he he

When I'm working in PS, I usually make a layer for each "kind" of thing, for instance, one for lineart, one (well, usually more) for backgrounds, and one for the cel color on the characters. When I'm not doing cel, I usually put the characters' hair on another layer because I don't want to mess up their faces with badly placed hair strands that suddenly PS decides it doesn't want to undo...LOL

Wow, those pics are very cute!

Do you use a tablet? How much does it cost anyway? Grr, I am so jealous of all you guys because I don't have PS, much less a tablet, nor do I have the most important and basic thing of all: a scanner! :waah!:

To anonymous: Don't you think 70,000NP is kinda a lot to just give away? lol You ought to buy a bunch of paintbrushes with it!

Thanks! ^_^ Yes, I have a tablet, but I don't really use it too much. It's kinda funky. I got it for 50 bucks at Best Buy. I got my scanner at Best Buy, too. It's a really really good scanner, but for some reason it won't scan using the program that it came with, only thru photoshop, and it makes color really wacked out. So I've just been scanning line art and coloring in photoshop.

and you can't buy "a bunch" of paintbrushes with 70k. You can't even buy ONE with 70k. Most people want 120k or more for those stupid things... *grumbles*

$50? :eyebrow: I figured they'd be more expensive than that, seeing as the cheapest scanner they've got is at least that much! Of course, now that I think about it, it's just a small touch-screen with a stick, so I guess you could get it for that much.

I've never used a scanner, but if I could take a lucky guess I'd say that when you installed PS, it overwrote certain "default" settings in your computer so that it would be THE program that scanners hook up to. A little fiddling around with windows would probably fix the problem, but like I said, I've never used a scanner and I we live about 1100 miles away so I can't just come over and try 2 help

Anyway, if I ever get a $100 gift certificate for best buy, I'll know what to get!

Yeah, I'm working on page 6 right now. And I'm gonna try to get page 7 up, but I still have to figure out what I'm going to do now. I've gone back to my roots in that I'm not using any kind of script in this comic. It gives me a bit more freedom to not have to conform to something... even something I made... ^_^ And anyway, WHAT ARE YOU DOING MAKING COMMENTS INKY!!! You should be working on Steelblood :P

I don't see any images on your site -- all I get is a couple of outlined squares for the thumbnails & icons and no pages at all. :eyebrow: :?: :stressed:
