Why does Christians have a distaste with anime?

It has been a thing ever since anime has come to the West. Even though it has become mainstream, there are still Christians that just dislike it, like change your profile picture and stuff like that. What is the cause? I wanna know...


(Now, I am NOT saying that all Christians hate anime, obviously, what forum are we in? But I am just curious.)

I think for many, anime (due to its sometimes more mature subject matter, plus those with frankly adult content) can easily gain a tawdry reputation, especially since the sorts of series that give it a bad name are easily sensationalized. That's largely why Ashley originally created CAA"s first incarnation, which would (now) be over 20 years ago.
