*muses* Ah, Kim, I like your humor.

The above article is from the website of Tae Kim, a Korean living in Japan.
http://www.guidetojapanese.org/blog/

He offers very good advice about Japanese from his experiences. He also has a grammar guide he continuously updates and which I've found to be very very very useful.

I'm wondering, though, if there are errors in his works (beyond obvious English ones) and such that some of you who speak Japanese might care to point out. Granted, I don't expect you to go through his guide yourself. I will probably post stuff from him from time to time to get comments. (Of course, everyone else is welcome to post his stuff as well.)

Japanese: You see Mr. Bond, things would be too easy if a word had only one kanji. Behold! 「とる」 can be written in 9 different ways! Muwhahaha!!
Bond: You’re insane! Do you expect me to memorize all that kanji?!
Japanese: No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die.

note to mods: I meant to put this in the Members Area, but for technical difficulties, I wasn't able to.

Read the article. Didn't understand a lot of it but he's funny. Like the quote you posted, ahaha.
