I'm physical contact with a dash of quality time. What are you?

What's a love language? A guy that I went on *one* date with tried to tell me his, but I stopped the conversation right there because I wasn't even sure I liked him, and the word love shouldn't have been in the conversation at all.

One of my friends asked me this, and I answered the wrong way, showing that I had no clue what it was, so she sent me this link. :P

Anyway, mine is Physical Touch.

Physical touch all day every day. I'm clingy.

You can take the full quiz here. http://www.beliefnet.com/Love-Family/Relationships/Quiz/The-5-Love-Languages-Quiz.aspx

I'm a mixture of words of affirmation, receiving gifts, and physical touch.

Ok, for real, I'd say you can't really focus too much on any one side of love if you want to make it work. Love, if anything, is hard work.

I'd venture to guess that it's a tie between physical touch and quality time. I'm not sure which one wins, but I am certain that it's a mix.

Mine was like, exactly the same for quality time and words of affirmation. Physical touch was also very close.

my love languages are a mix of words of affirmation, Physical touch and Quality Time and Acts of Service

Well the quiz for me said Quality Time followed closely by Physical Touch, but I'd have to agree with Jaden that there is a lot more involved in loving someone and fostering a real relationship than just what that quiz covered.

According to the Quiz: Quality Time Followed Equally by Physical Touch and then followed by Acts of Service and then Words of Affirmation.

I like scritches and hugs :3.

P.S. Why in the world does it break everything down into an either-or question? Needs more options in my opinion.

For me, touch doesn't always have to be someone comming up from behind me and wrapping their arms around me. I love it when my friend pinches my elbow or my adoptive daddy playfully smacks me on the back of the head with whatever he's holding. If anyone who I love touches me, I act like Fuko from Clannad. It's hard because I love hugging people and my mom thinks it's flirty sometimes. If there's someone who I really don't like, I won't touch them or want them touching me. I refuse touches from people who I don't like though.

words, quality time, touch, i will show love by acts of service but i don't receive love that way (if that makes any sense) and gifts don't usually mean a lot to me unless i specifically know it's the other persons love language

I got Quality Time and Physical Touch. (Although I almost had to skip a question...)

That quiz is wacky... it doesn't seem to be comparing related things at all. I figured mine out and I sort of don't agree with it entirely.

My Christian Education class is using the 5 Love Languages for Teens as a lesson plan, so this thread comes as a pleasant surprise. Here's the results that I remember getting in that quiz:

1st - Words of Affirmation and Quality Time
2nd - Acts of Service and Receiving Gifts
3rd - Physical Touch (the funny thing is I got a 0 in this part.)

LOVE the Five Love Languages...it was instrumental (and still is) in my relationship with my wife.

Mine has changed over the years. I was once all about words of affirmation. I'm now acts of service.

I was once playing a game called apples to apples...

The card played was "awesome"

In cards related,
One of my friends happened to have and put down the card "giving hugs"
and I happened to have and put down the card "getting hugs" XD.

On top of it all, he's one of my friends that gives out the most hugs and it was actually the memory of him giving me a hug that I was thinking of:3. Of course, it would feel weird to tell him this, so it must forever be locked away on our obscure little internet forum!

EDIT: Not his hugs in particular, wrong wording. I just like getting hugs from friends, it makes me feel loved. Now I just need to have the courage to give some of them away and stop being so stingy with the things myself. Stupid social phobia. >:-(

I got quality time and I suppose that fits. I wish I could get over that...

Since I'm not married, I replaced "my husband" with "people" in my head as I filled out the quiz. That made some of the questions awkward, though.

1. Words of Affirmation
2. Physical Touch
3. Quality time
4. Gifts

And service is down at the bottom because I don't actually like it that much when people do things for me. I prefer to do things for others and I feel kind of bad when others do things for me. But to me service communicates little either way; I do things because they need to be done, and almost never as a special way to communicate love for others. In the same way, service done for me does not make me feel loved. It makes me feel like I need to be a better person who doesn't make other people do all the work. But that's my own personal thing and I understand that it's important to others.

Am I the only one here that thinks the term "love language" sounds kinda cheesy?

Anyways, my results were:

- Quality Time
- Words of Affirmation
- Physical Touch
- Acts of Service
- Receiving Gifts

I don't much care for giving OR receiving gifts; to me, it creates a cycle of "oh crap, so-and-so gave me something so now I have to get them something". I don't like feeling obligated, and I'd rather go out and buy my own stuff. Though it is nice when my husband brings me something small when he comes home from work, like a drink or a snack or something.
