Inkjet, is that the church in Tustin? David Hocking is the pastor, right? Just wondering, it's been over 15 years since I had lived there.

Right now, we're in between two churches and can't make up our mind. We attend Fellowship Bible Church in Plano and Cottonwood Creek Baptist in Allen.

Note to everyone: watch yourselves. Any denominational conflict will either be clipped, or the thread will be moved. We as the administration are pretty strongly against it.

First Mennonite Church of Kansas (there's four or five others in various states...)

Calvary Chapel Houston (ironically located an hour away from Houston proper). Also non-denominational, but more aptly classified as relaxed Baptists.

(alternate between) Grace Bible Fellowship in San Diego, and Redlands Nazarene in ... Redlands.

Shouldn't this be in General, probably?

How is this a pray request?

Well, this forum is no longer technically for Prayer requests alone. It also covers praise, worship and possibly something like this. It might be better suited to General however. I'm moving it, if only so it gets more people on it.

First Baptist Church of Carson City, MI

On a side note, every town seems to have a First Baptist Church, but not a Second Baptish Church... odd.

I go to Round Hill Baptist Church in northern VA. When I am at school, I attend Grace Covenant Church. RHBC is a fairly small church, and it has been around for a long time. I have attended that church for my entire life, and I really like it. :)

Hey Volt, you may want to go back and spell check your post.

Anyway, regarding what Volt said, I think that how much you learn about God, in any church, has more to do with the pastor, or in this case, priest, than with the denomination.

And as for your churched friends belief dying, and their falling into drinking, smoking and other sins. If I may use an example from my own life, my boss enjoys a good drink and can swear like a sailor, but he has a faith in God that I, frankly, envy. Also, be an example in yourself, draw your friends back.

I'm sorry if this comes off wrong. I'm slighly upset and you'll know why in just a minute.

I will be attendeng St. Benedict of Nursia's Western Rite Antiochian Orthodox Church until Holy Cross (Greek Orthodox) figures out what we are going to do. Our priest died Thursday night.

I go to High Street United Methodist Church in Muncie. I used to be very concerned with most established churches in general (I'm an ex-charismatic who used to attend a house church), always thinking that "high church" people who sang hymns were spiritually dead and "low church/broad church" people who sang contemporary praise songs were spiritually shallow, but one thing I'm enamored of about my congregation is how Christocentric it is (and it's "high church" too!).
