Well unless you want to get smokes, beer, or the off limits parts of video stores, what do you mean by that?

*lights a salem black label*

smokes taste good. beer tastes good...but bacardi is better. i bet he means just what he said. but i won't speak for him. i'm curious, are you implying that these items (besides the video section) are ungodly things? well, lets take beer. beer's one "evil" ingredient is alchohol. am i the only one who remembers the "water into wine incident". or the freedom given to us by God to drink alchohol as long as we don't get drunk? then there's smoking. i don't believe its appropriate to get addicted to any substance. but with me,smoking isn't addictive. in my case, its something to do when i get bored, and i just happen to like the taste of it. truth be told,i don't belive smoking is addictive at all. yeah, study after study says that its addictive and it kills. oh my
i started smoking for a report. the report was to show that smoking isn't addictive as they say it is. so i smoked at least 5 packs in a 3 week time period. then went cold turkey the day after the report was turned in. 2 months later....no cravings.3 months later...still nothing. like i suspected,it was entirely too easy. which leads me to belive that its all in your mind. yeah,a mental thing. anyways, nowadays you can ussualy find a pack on me. but i don't smoke too often. i take down about 2 packs of salem black labels every month. no,thats not an addiction. i buy more anime in a month than i buy smokes. but if my smoking 2 packs a month makes me an addict, then maybe i should stop buying 3 or 4 anime titles a month. i think not.

Concerning the water into wine incident, I very highly doubt it was 'intoxicating' wine. Here's how the commentary of my bible puts it:

"In contrast to the position taken in this study bible, some believe that both the wine provided at the wedding and the wine made by Jesus were intoxicants consumed in great quantity. If this thesis is accepted, the following implications must be acknowleged and reckoned with: (1) The guests at the wedding would likely be drunk. (2) Mary, the mother of Jesus, would be regretting that the intoxicating drink had run out and would be asking Jesus to furnish the already drunken festivity with more fermented wine. (3) In order to oblige his mother's wishes, Jesus would be making 120-180 gallons of intoxicating wine, more than enough to keep the guests totally drunk. (4) Jesus would be making this intoxicating wine as his very first 'miraculous sign' in order to 'reveal his glory' and to persuade the people to believe in him as the holy and righteous Son of God. The above implications of the thesis in question cannot be avoided. Too allege that Jesus made and used alcoholic wine is not only behind the warrant of exegetical requirement, but leads us into conflict with the moral principles embedded in the total witness of Scripture. Clearly, in light of God's nature, Christ's righteousness, his loving concern for humanity, and Mary's good character, the above implications of the view that the wine at Cana was fermented are blasphemous. An interpretation that involves such assertions and contradictions cannot be adopted. The only plausible explanation is that the wine made by Jesus to reveal his glory was the nonintoxicating pure juice of the grape. Furthermore, the initial inferior wine furnished by the one in charge of the wedding was most likely nonintoxicating as well."

I'm 18 but pretty much a full adult in my country (legal drinking age is 18, there's very little I can't do until I'm 21)

Um... No theological debates here... cause otherwise I'd jump right in on the wine issue...

and no I don't think I'm a mod by any stretch of the term... I sorta had to do this to keep myself from arguing a point...

And, BOY, is it hard not to argue... (man... I need to switch topics)

You keep telling yourself that, you start believing it.
You keep telling others that, eventually they start believing it.

Sometimes life goes too fast, other times it goes too slow, in either case you gotta step outside into reality, take a fresh breath and continue.
