Anime Angels is finalizing the layout for their first issue of Mangazine. Go have a look at their homepage for more info. ^_^

I'd recommend Shonen Jump pretty strongly. Remarkably cheap, considering you get 2-3 issues of seven different manga each month.

If shonen is your style, that is. If you're more into shoujo, it isn't going to be your thing (relatively obvious from the title, isn't it?).

I've got no idea. I heard that Newtype is one of the best if you can find it. I've got an issue of Animerica lying around in this room somewhere.. fairly reasonable magazine although i didn't really read much of it.

I am subscribed to the Aniway... it's in Dutch, but a very good magazine if you're able to read the language! :p

Newtype is the best you can do for anime magazines in my opinion. I haven't missed an issue yet! Perhaps I should just break down and get the subscription .. oh wait, that would only work if I had a semi-permanent address.

However, Newtype usually sells out really fast, and in that case, Animerica is pretty good. It's thin, and half of it consists of ads, but they usually have good articles and reviews that make it worth the price. And nothing beats those cosplay pics from various cons (which, btw, Newtype has also been putting in fanart and con pics from the US).

Anime Play is a bi-monthly interactive dvd magazine. There are only two issues of it currently. I got the first one a while ago ... but I haven't even looked at it yet. So much for that recommendation.

If you're all into the straight manga scene, then I'd go with Shonen Jump.

Newtype-USA is definately the best in my view. Suprised no one metioned Protoculture Addicts yet. But just stick with Newtype-USA.
You won't regret it.
