I think he's got the "Lovesan" worm. That's the one that does that.
He needs to install antivirus software.

He might have that Windows virus too. I hear that one's pretty prevalent.

Yep, he's definitely got the new worm lurking around. Here's how to stop it from restarting your computer:
1. Go to the command line interface by clicking on the Start button and selecting Run. Type "command" (without quotes) and click OK.
2. At the command prompt, type "shutdown -a" (without quotes). This effectively orders the computer to abort shutdown.
ShiroiHikari, see if this can help him.
Rashiir, are you a MAC user?

Yep, everything you want to know about the worm is in that thread.
But, here's a summary:
Download this tool, so you can scan your computer for the worm and remove it.
Click Here After it's done downloading, simply run the program!
Caution: For XP users when you run the tool disable system restore!
Here's the link to the site with the tool for additional info:

Special Thanks and Credit to oldphilosopher!
BTW, Norton ain't gonna help you for this one and make sure to run Windows Update. I think a bigger one's coming the 16th.
