Hey, that's a cool resource! I can probably make good use of that.

BOOSTER: Hey, No.1! Where's my cake?!
SNIFIT 1: Booster, Sir! There's a 70% chance the object you're standing on is a cake.
BOOSTER: What? THIS thing's a cake?

You have the power to say anything you want, so why not say something positive?

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

this is another great one; I use it all the time. Oh, and about Kalabarians...they also have a creepily accurate name-personality analysis. Example- my name means I'm academically minded, quiet, and etc. They are usually fairly accurate---great for naming characters with distinctive characteristics. :thumb:

Brief summary of your name: Rachael

Your first name of Rachael has made you happiest when you are expressing in some creative, artistic way, and not conforming to strict routine. In a large group of comparative strangers, you are quiet and rather shy, unable to express yourself, not really wanting to become involved in conversation. On the other hand, among friends with whom you feel at ease, you are expressive, witty, and quite charming. These contrasting natures make it difficult for people to understand you and can lead to friction in your personal life. You are deep, philosophical, and refined, but your extremely sensitive nature causes you to become depressed and self-pitying over any real or imagined slight.
THIS IS SO TRUE!!!^^^^ THIS IS ME!!!!
can a name really create hte way you think? It's creepy.

Your first name of Valerie has given you a friendly, likeable nature, and you could excel in artistic, dramatic, and musical expression. With this name, you desire the finer things in life, but you do not always have the resolve and vitality to put forth the effort necessary to fulfil your desires. (This part is so true--->)Your emotional feelings are easily affected and you will always be involved in other people's problems as a result of your overly sympathetic nature.

This is so weird. How did they do that? Does this mean that all Valerie's are like this? Neat website, Ruroken.^_^ That was fun.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

The name of Andrew[ has made you serious-minded, responsible, and stable]. You love the security of a home and family, you are fond of children, and, as a parent you would be fair and understanding. Although you have good business judgment, you are not aggressive in your dealings because you do not like to create issues. You would be successful in any position dealing with the public as you have a diplomatic and tactful manner and possess a charming, easy-going nature which puts people at ease. People are drawn to you because they feel that you are patient, kind, understanding, and responsive.

Woah. Get rid of the first sentence and that is practically me. Andrew means strong and brave in, I think, Scottish-Gaelic or... just plain Scottish.

Supposedly, TrueNoir, it has something to do with letters representing numbers and the Pythagorean spheres and how it all adds up to create your personality. Whether there's any stock in the theory or not, I don't know. I *do* know I had to study my name quite extensively freshman year, and that was a resource we used.

There are a couple of sides to this....

Some times descriptions like these are just vague enough to cover part of your personality (I saw a program once on fortune tellers, people who where reading plams and such for cash in college, and one was told by another to flip what he normally told them and whe he tried it his customers where even more surprised at how accurate he was)... this kinda falls along the lines of what Steve Martin's character did in that movie, what was it, "Leap of Faith" (?) years ago. That's not to say that's what this is or anything.....

The other side of this goes more along with what people like Zig Ziglar teach... that as part of the creative nature of God (and in some way a vague reflection of that), that the value and meaning of names do as much to form an individual as define them for others (this is one of the reasons God chose to change names of people often times in the Word, He was changing who they where).

I'm sure I'm doing injustice to any of Zig's teachings.... but I think you've got the basic idea.

Either way it's all very interesting.... reminds me of a e-mail my Mom showed me (still sitting in my "inbox" over at Yahoo)... but that's another post ;)

The first name of Spencer creates a shrewd, aggressive, business nature, intent on personal gain. The desires for independence and financial success have been strong motivating forces from early in your life. You are capable of logical and analytical thinking along practical business lines, and could excel in financial fields, law, or politics. Your judgment is seldom swayed through your feelings.

Hmm...Interesting. First time I read through it I visualized a guy in a suit with a briefcase who's all business-like.
