YOU GUYS.
SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS.
THIS GAME IS AMAZING. I MEAN SERIOUSLY YOU HAVE NO IDEA.

It's way better than a flash game deserves to be. Just a word of note though. Each character controls just like they do in the original game. This means, good luck beating the game with Simon Belmont because if you remember the original Castlevania, Simon can't change direction mid-jump, which means lots of death in a game like Mario.
Still. SO AWESOME.

Wow, this is possibly the most awesome flash game ever made.

The game is, indeed, awesome. One little quibble, though:
Link's gameplay stretches the idea of being faithful to the gameplay of the original. Link neither jumped nor bounced on his sword in Zelda 1.
And while this has nothing to do with the game, why did the "Just in Bailey" Samus' unitard have arms? Why not have legs too, if you're gonna have arms?
And I forgot that fireball'd koopa turned into a goomba. I wonder if there was any significance to that.

Well okay yeah but if they didn't give him the ability to jump you wouldn't make it past the first Goomba as Link.
I thought maybe they could've used Zelda II link, since he was side-scrolly and could jump. But he couldn't jump very well, so it wouldn't work well in Mario, and plus there weren't any extra weapons in Zelda II so he wouldn't have been able to use the boomerang.

Actually if you kill Bowser with fireballs/other powers he can turn into a Goomba, Koopa shell, or Buzzy Beetle shell as long as it's the first seven worlds. If it's the eighth one, he dies like a normal enemy.

Link is a cross between Zelda I and Zelda II, nice! Though Zelda II probably would have fit better (maybe in Super Mario Land II crossover?)
Samus and Bill are dreadfully overpowered for this game. It's very easy for any character with a ranged attack to get above the blocks in the pipe worlds, too. But I suppose that's the point.
The lesson that we have learned, then, is that Mario is outclassed in his own game. Imagine how frustrating it would be to play as Mario in Mega Man or Legend of Zelda! Dare I say impossible?

Wow. Thats the first time I've finished any level as Megaman in one life.
Okay, I died as someone else before, but still.

I'm bumping this thread because I found something out recently.
Super Mario Crossover got updated to version 1.1.
There's a LOT of changes, pretty much all of them good. The biggest changes:
1. A new character, Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden. This makes the character select screen look a bit different...and also, they added a "random" option (select the question block).
2. Difficulty settings, as well as when you start a new game, the ability to pick whether you want to be able to pick characters between levels, or just pick one character for the whole game.
3. More music! As you recall, there was still a lot of Mario music such as when you got an star, or at the beginning of worlds like 1-2 or 2-2. The new version has pretty much entirely replaced ALL music with character specific music. For example, for Mega Man, the invincibility music is now the Mega Man 2 opening theme, and the music that plays before the pipe in worlds like 1-2 is the Boss Select music from Mega Man 1. Not only that, but more tracks have been added for more variety. The underwater worlds for Mega Man, for example, are now Bubble Man's music, and the bonus cloud levels up the beanstalk now use Air Man's music. Also the "night" levels (World 3) use the famous Wily Castle theme from Mega Man 2.
4. Some characters have changed appearance or play style. Mega Man, for example, had his jumping height decreased and can't jump over a lot of higher obstacles. So now, higher jumps require Mega Man to use Rush Coil (C button). Likewise, Simon's jump mercifully got changed so that you can now change direction after jumping (and he even still keeps the double jump). Samus now can duck down and shoot instead of just going straight to Morph Ball form when you press down. They also changed it so "Zero Suit Samus" is the sprite for the weak form, but this is only a cosmetic change.
Also, you can change options for Simon's jump and the Samus crouch so that they revert back to the 1.0 controls.
Anyway it's still a lot of fun and these new changes make it even better.
