My mom got a Wii for Christmas, so far we have Wii Sports and willbe getting Wii Play soon. Does anyone have any recommendations for other good Wii games? My mom's really into trivia stuff, so if anyone knows of any good games in that vein that'd be really appreciated to.

Super Mario Galaxy
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Okami
I can vouch for these as good Wii titles, although I have doubts most of these would really appeal to your mother if she mostly likes casual games. Additionally, Muramasa: The Demon Blade and A Boy and His Blob got good reviews for action titles, as did the puzzle/adventure title Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros Treasure.
You might want to look into some of the Virtual Console and WiiWare games as well.

You forgot about Wii Sports Resort. Recommend purchasing a second Wii Motion Plus. The box comes with just one.

Mario Kart Wii is a must-have.
On WiiWare, I highly recommend World of Goo. It's like Lemmings, combined with the Flash game Fantastic Contraptions, only better. On Virtual Console, I like Mega Man 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Shining Force, and Axelay, though Alien Soldier looks really good; I'll get that once I've got the Wii Points.

Besides what has already been recommended, here's what I would suggest. For the Wii:
-Muramasa the Demon Blade
-No More Heroes (if you're fine with the content)
-Any of the sixteen-million Mario Party games (since the Wii can also play Gamecube games)
For the Virtual Console and Wiiware:
-Actraiser
-the original Super Smash Bros. (just because...)
-Super Mario Bros. World

I'd say Trauma Center (and second Metroid Prime Trilogy and Okami), as a little more of a non-action game.

THIS zomg.
It's basically the only game my family has for our Wii (that and Wii Sports), but it is SO MUCH FUN. XD We've had a blast with it; I totally recommend it!

Hmmmm, No more heros is a definite although the content can be a bit iffy. Madworld is a bit worse, but still pretty cool in my opinion. Paper mario can be mentioned, although perosnally I liked the N64 version the most so if that's out there on wiiware. Metriod is decent there. Not that big of a fan of the Zelda game, but it is worth looking at.
All of this is probably not something your mom could get into. Mario party might even be a challenge on that front, as for trivia games I am not sure sadly.

Twilight Princess and Brawl are a must. If you like Turn-Based Strategy RPGs, I'll second Fire Emblem. Paper Mario is also really good.

I completely forgot about Mario Kart, and I didn't realize Okami came out on the Wii. I'd been contemplating getting that for the PS2 at one point, but decided against it. I think I'd like it more on the Wii though.
I want Sports Resort but I'm not willing to pay for it at this point, same problem with Punchout, which I've also looked at. Metroid Prime and LoZ and SSBB were all on my list, although I've heard that if I want Twilight Princess I should just buy it for the GC instead.
I've got the World of Goo demo atm, but haven't played yet, and I'm planning on getting Megaman 9 soon. Alot of the good VC games were ones I already have on another system, so I don't want to pay for them again.
Thanks for all the recommendations! I need to look into that Muramasa game. No More Heroes and Madworld looked interesting, but the content's a problem for me.
People on other sites were recommending Conduit, does anyone here have an opinion on that? Also, I'm looking for a decent boxing game and a decent tennis game that aren't going to cost me $50 a piece.

I own The Conduit and depending on what FPS's you've played and what you're looking for in a Wii game would determine if I recommend it or not. Simply, if you're desperate for a game that isn't a party game or something like Wii sports on your Wii, then The Conduit is a good buy. If you're looking for a really good FPS, then I'd recommend you look elsewhere. Its not that The Conduit is a bad game, its just that if it was on any other console it would be considered mediocre at best. I've heard the online play is pretty good but honestly (for me at least) nothing will be able to match or compete with TF2.

Pretty much any game directly from Nintendo are the ones you want. Chances are if Nintendo made it, then it is good. I recommend A Boy and his Blob and Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure. Pretty much every other game everyone else already mentioned above me are games you want to get as well.

I highly recommend Boom Blox and its sequel Boom Blox Bash Party. They're both very fun.

Any of the DDR titles. They're fun, and great to get into shape or keep your health. After you unlock EVERYTHING, you might think it gets boring... but try mimicking the dance moves themselves via training mode! It's also a lot of fun if someone is watching. >.>
It's multiplayer, so it would be an ideal family game. ^^ Of course, if you want to just kick back and relax, it would really suck. :3
* Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party
* Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest party 2
* and the third installment of DDR for Wii, which I can't remember it's title. It looks great, though. ^^
Honestly, I haven't found a Wii game I totally love. I was hoping Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the new World would fill that void, but since Peanut has explained otherwise, I'm not so sure... T-T

I recommend the Virtual Console N64 game Sin and Punishment. It's an on-rails 3rd-person shooter developed by Treasure that was made for a US audience, but it came out in 2000 (late in the N64's life), so it never got a release in the US. Now, it's here. And although it's pricier than other N64 games on WiiWare (1200 points, in fact), it's one of the best Virtual Console games EVER, and worth every penny. Play with a Gamecube controller, though, as the Classic Controller doesn't work well with S&P. Content's not too bad, just a few minor profanities and some blood.
I also recommend New Super Mario Bros. Wii, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, and Link's Crossbow Training (a game that comes with the Wii Zapper peripheral). MadWorld and House of the Dead: Overkill are also definitely recommended by me, provided you're fine with the mature content (of which there is a lot).
In terms of trivia games, Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree is good.

I agree my friend. I will vouch for Mario Kart.
