I was shocked to find a thread for this hadn't been made yet. So yeah, what has caught your eye so far. For me, its a new Monkey Island game (even though I've never the original ones...). Fortunately, they are also remaking The Secret of Monkey Island as well, so I guess I'll get a chance to give that a try. Oh yeah...and a little something called Starcraft II possibly launching by the end of this year...though that was sort of obvious before E3...

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who thinks that Project Natal thing is really stupid.

I don't really like it either. I can't imagine how weird and difficult it must be to control a game with absolutely no tactile feedback.

Edit:So...I didn't think I would say this...but after watching a trailer with no sound for Metroid: Other M...I think I'm more excited for this game then I was for Metroid Prime 3...if it delievers, I will be estatic...

Edit Edit: and Golden Sun DS...finally...thanks for making me wait so long to even announce it...

The Golden Sun games had some decent puzzles, a nice soundtrack. and surprisingly flashy attacks for the GBA, despite having a pretty generic story and characters. We'll see how this one goes.

Otherwise, the new Metroid game catches my interest the most so far.

But, Final Fantasy XIV Online? Seriously, Square-Enix?
Oh, come on...

My best news of E3:

Perfect Dark running in full 1080p, 60fps on xbox 360. It will be released in winter of this year. I might have to buy a 360 again.

The new Metroid looked pretty cool, but, having not played any Metroids since Prime, I feel like the atmosphere and setting has become very Halo-esque. But interesting that they're teaming up with Team Ninja.

Final Fantasy XIV was a surprise and I was interested until I saw the "ONLINE".

The new Team Ico game looked pretty cool, mostly because I didn't read the other thread.

And lolwut at the Wii Vitality Sensor.

OMG PSP GOOO... It looks cool but UMD-less is lame. This one will be harder to "crack".

Nintendo hasn't said this yet, but secretly they are actually working to create a self aware video game console to replace doctors around the world. Soon "Nintendoc" will be in every household making sure you eat right, excercise, and stay alive. All while making you look completely ridiculous while doing it (I heard that for surgery they make it makes you dress up in a clown costume).

"Look, my game console can check my pulse. Isn't it awesome??????"

Yeah, I can't imagine that this could really have any serious gameplay application. The time Nintendo spends messing around with these gimmicks they could be planning a new Zelda or something.

I'm officially embarrassed by

1. Sony's marketing (or lack thereof) for Eyetoy that lead to Microsoft being able to successfully claim this camera as their own idea... Sony was testing 3d and IR capable Eyetoy variants back in PS2 days. They lost their chance to release it. Apparently MS has their own similar game to EyePet, and Sony sort of dropped the ball on that one too...

2. Both MS and SOny feeling they need to cave in to the Wii and release motion controllers... Lame... Lame lame lame lame...

that aside,

3. No interest in FFXIV... I won't EVER pay a monthly fee for one game... I'd prefer to never even pay for more than what my ISP charges.

4. Kojima taking on Castlevania?! Color me interested.

5. Metal Gear Solid Rising = 1 big meh. Kojima's heart's not in it, but it will continue the story and he's at least overseeing it, so I'll still get it... It's all downhill after MGS4. That includes the new PSP game... Oh, and so you know, it's multiplat, not 360 exclusive. MS was very tricky with that stage show to give the impression it's 360 exclusive, but Konami lists it as PC, PS3, 360

6. Mario Galaxy 2... Cool.

7. New Super Mario Brothers 2.... Ok, this is 2nd place game of show for me, even though I never saw video for it. I'm excited for this one.

8. Metroid other M... Team Ninja is working on a Metroid game? HOLY CRAP A 2.5 D METROID FOR WII!! Or... wait... Ok, so a 3rd person Metroid at least? Um... Maybe hybrid a la Metal Gear Solid? And if that's real time, all I can say is WHAT THE CRAP are other devs doing on the Wii when it can produce something that good looking, and they can't? All possible further comments are CAA inappropriate, so I'm moving on...

9. The Last Guardian. Muy Bueno! Oh, this... But why does the boy still look like plastic? They improved so much on the Gryphon, showed more interaction, put more flowing clothing on the boy, but still... Plastic skin.

Project Natal is MS's motion controller camera thing. You don't use a controller which makes me wonder how you'd actually walk in a massive adventure game.

NSMB Wii looks sweet and I completely welcome the Galaxy 2 announcement. Metroid: Other M looks completely AMAZING though for I much prefer 3rd person over 1st person and the action looks crazy! I wish they had shown Sin and Punishment 2 though they did have a booth on the show floor.
Red Steel 2 looks suprisingly impressive too. There were 2 things I lacked though...Pikmin 3 and a new Zelda. Overall, it is a good E3 so far.

About the vitality sensor, I think it could make a sweet horror game that registers your heart rate to throw in scares to keep you afraid.

EDIT:Oh and the PSP Go is $250!! With that price, you could buy a new Wii or 360...

Ok... I just realized. The Wand controller Sony showed off was the one they dev'd in 2005 and dropped... It's an Eye accessory that just actually has buttons now. Still, they dropped it... They're only picking it up again because Microsoft was doing theirs, which they did because of the Wii... in 2006...

I wish they'd released this when they first developed it, even if it is a bit better now than it was in 2005. It's just... too late now.

The guy from Nintendo said Retro was working on something. I think that something is the next Zelda game on the Wii.

My idea about Retro doing the next zelda was wrong. I just read the news on G4 that destroyed that .

I've heard that's been dropped but who knows, they aren't doing the next Metroid game but they are obviously going to be doing something after releasing the Metroid Prime Trilogy...

Also, after watching Nintendo's press confrence I have a few thoughts:

-Overall, this restored a lot of faith for me in Nintendo. This wasn't what I would call a great press confrence but it was better then the last two years and I thought they did a nice job of actually showing that they care about gamers and not their mothers.

-4 player Mario looks cool...also not sure if this was intentional, but they announced 4 new Mario games...guess Nintend has decided to one up those fans of three by pushing the number 4.

-I was shocked to find that Wii Fit sold as well as it did...it's true I don't really follow sales numbers except when they are conviently shoveled into my head during E3...but still, highest selling game in the world since its release? What is wrong with these people...

-I have to admit...that opening to Wii Sports Resort is actually kind of cool...in fact, Wii Sports Resort doesn't look bad...as long as the Wiimote plus is packaged with it, I think it will be worth buying...

-Golden Sun DS...I hope this is actually a sequel and not just a remake...couldn't really tell from what Reggie said and from the trailer...with that being said, the summons look awesome, like usual, so yeah...I'll probably pick this up...

-What I won't be picking up (in fact I'll be avoiding them like the plauge) are Red Steel 2, Style Savy, and Women's Murder Club: Games of Passion. Well...correction...I'll buy Red Steel 2 if its subtitle is "This time we did it right..." if not then I'm not even going near it. The other two games I merely mention because I'm shocked Nintendo mentioned them during their press confrence. I get that Nintendo is trying to reach out to everyone and these games do demonstrate that but come on. You didn't have to show trailers for them. My favorite trailer was definitely the one for Women's Murder Club mostly becuase it opened with "Why join a book club when you can join a murder club?" Well, seeing as how I value my life, I think the answer to that is rather easy...

-Reggie reads gaming blogs...at this point I want to say something witty but I'm honestly have no clue what to say to this. I mean, it's to be expected but it being mentioned is kind of humorous...

-I didn't mention this before, but, the New Metroid game has a lot to live up to. My expectations are already through the roof (which is about where they were for MP3) so, if it isn't at least as good as Metroid Prime 3, then I'm going to be dissapointed. Also, Team Ninja has done something Retro didn't do (though they might have done this in the next Metroid game they did for all we know). Samus has a voice. Not really surprising seeing as how she has spoken in previous games, but this is the first time that there seem to be actual lines written for her that are relevant to the story as opposed to the usual noises to signify she's been damaged.

Next Wii Zelda Game - Heck yeah. Bring it on. And make it a little harder this time.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 - I can never get enough Kingdom Hearts.

Final Fantasy XIII - I don't care what anyone says. I'm stoked for this game. I don't even care if the summons are robots in disguise. I think there may be in the longrun more to this game than meets the eye in first impressions. Nate will hate it, though.

Final Fantasy XIV: This one has me positively infuriated. I respect and on occasions enjoy online games as long as they are NOT NUMERICAL SEQUELS THAT ARE PART OF A MAIN SERIES. I have never played Final Fantasy XI and never plan to. I had to wait an extra long time before I could play a new Final Fantasy game because of this and now I will have to wait another extra long time. For God's sakes, what's wrong with simply having 'Final Fantasy Online'? Stop screwing up my collection with inane gaps. :waah!:

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories - ZOMG THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST HORROR GAME EVER MADE I WANT THIS SO BAD *fanboy squeel* :eh:

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker - I am looking very forward to this.

Metal Gear Solid Rising - Do want, but another Raiden centered game? Meh.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years - Looks interesting, especially since the original is one of my all time favorite "classic" games. As long as it's not another Final Fantasy X-2...

Golden Sun Golden Sun Golden Sun now why does that franchise sound familiar...

Nice to know someone somewhere is still working on Alan Wake. I thought that game would never get made. Also, though I'm always appreciative of Tim Schafer's efforts, I think Brutal Legend is channeling a little too little of him and a little too much of Jack Black. Might just be me though.

Definitely looking forward to Monkey Island (and Beyond Good and Evil 2). Just a step closer to that classic LucasArts goodness being available again.

There was mention of a new Wii Zelda later, but only to say that it'll likely be dependent on MotionPlus.

I'd forgotten about KH 358/2 Days because I'd heard about it so long ago. I've been hearing some mixed things about it, but it seems like it did pretty well in Famitsu with 9/9/9/9.

I am still on the lookout for an announcement regarding the Edgeworth game and (kind of a long shot) some Gyakuten Saiban 5 news.

I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but Miyamoto also mentioned (in his own presentation later on) the inspiration behind Zelda: Spirit Tracks was that Miyamoto and Japan really, really like trains.

As one of the few Halo fanboys here, I'll be the first in this thread to say I'm stoked for Halo 3: ODST. From what I've seen of it, it's going to be the closest to playing as Jayne Cobb from Firefly as you can get in a video game. (Unless there's a Firefly video game I know nothing about.) Also, more Halo never hurts. ;)

Also, I'm super excited for Final Fantasy XIII, which I will be getting for the 360, heh heh. (Though if I had a PS3, I would probably get it for that system instead.) The new trailer looks awesome, and I really, really hope the game doesn't get pushed back past Spring 2010. Also, the Final Fantasy XIV Online announcement disappoints me, not because it's an online Final Fantasy game, but because it's being labeled Final Fantasy XIV. I guess we'll have to wait for Final Fantasy XV for another single-player game after XIII comes out. At the current rate of release, XV will probably come out in 2015.

Well, at least the extra time will give me plenty of opportunity to finish Final Fantasy XII.

This is the first thing that came to mind.

You're not the one whose work in the previous online iteration will go completely to naught and fume that it will (initially) only be available for PS3 and beg and wonder how good/terrible the job system will be this time around. Seriously, 23 jobs and only 5 or so get any frequent invites?

I take it in this and the future generations of console gaming, the "Main FF Rule of Three" will be Offlinegame-Onlinegame-Offlinegame. Maybe.

Can't wait to see what Final Fantasy XVI (sixteen) looks like.
