CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

The Nintendo DS seems to be the best system right now for classic point-and-click style puzzle adventure games. The Phoenix Wright series is probably among the first to pop into many gamers' minds. I myself love Theresia and I'm eyeing up that new Broken Sword game. Maybe after my next paycheck or so.

So how's about you? What are some of your favorites?

Definitely into Phoenix Wright. Great stuff. I'd like to try some similar games but I'm not sure where to start. Maybe I'll look into the titles you mentioned.

New Broken Sword? Don't you mean Old Broken Sword Repackaged? Not that I'm complaining, it's a good game.

Should I ever actually get around to owning a DS, I'll certainly be in the market for a lot of their Adventure titles. Between them and the Castlevanias and the RPGs, should be a decent haul. I'm afraid I'm blanking on any specific names.

A great one is Hotel Dusk: Room 215. It's extremely text/plot heavy but its one of the best point and click "adventure" type DS games I've played. It's a mystery game and you play an ex-detective who ends up staying at the Hotel Dusk... A hotel that has, as it turns out, a lot of mysterious connections to your characters past and a lot of weird superstitions surrounding around it as well (like the room that supposedly grant's wishes).t Its has this whole "noir" look and feel going on and you play the game holding the DS on its side as if you're reading a book... anyway, great game but hardly anyone has heard of it.

Another good one if you like Logic puzzles is Professor Clayton and the Curious Village... It's point and click mystery game but the you advance the game through logic puzzles. Usually these logic puzzles are completely unrelated to the game though and its usually stuff like "Well if you can figure out this puzzle my grandfather told me, I'll tell you where she went". I wish the puzzles had more to do with the game. That said though, the story is great and if you like logic puzzles, get it

@ Fish and Chips: All I know is there's a Broken Sword game on the DS now. It hadn't occurred to me that it might be a remake. Still, I wanna check it out.

@ Scarecrow: I actually have Hotel Dusk. It's OK, but there's way too much text. Almost seems like there's more than there is in a Phoenix Wright game.

Meh I didn't mind it but ya thats the complaint I hear most of the time My main problem was when you lose to those "boss fights" so to speak and you had to redo TONS of dialog to get back to where you were...
