I don't know about the rest of you guys but is anyone excited about Little Big Planet. I used to sketch out little 2d side scrolling levels when I was a kid so I'm practically ecstatic. Noone in my town seems to even be interested. So am I the only one excited?
Oh and if anyone preordered from BestBuy is anyone willing to trade a Nariko code for the Kratos code? I'm under the impression that your allowed to share the codes with something like 5 other people. I wanted to get that one but I would have had to drive to another state to pick it up.
Stupid BestBuy! If anyone's interested PM me.
P.S. - I hope it's okay to ask stuff like that in this forum. If not I apologize in advance.

This game should be cool. But I'm really not happy about this worldwide recall business.
An extra seven days wait is seven days too many.

I have more than 7 days to wait, since I don't have the money for it, unless I win a raffle on another Forum...
I have voiced my opinion on the recall and related issues, but I think CAA is not the place for this... In any case, I can't wait to get my hands on this someday.

Wow! Exactly the same here!

Little Big Planet is the type of game I'd play for probably 30~40ish minutes, then forget about it. I enjoy level building as a side to a greater game, but in itself pretty unsatisfying. Unless I'm making my own game, which I'm not.
In this that is.

News flash!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7679151.stmLittleBigPlanet was delayed because some of the background music had phrases from the Koran in it. Apparently, some Muslims find this sacrilegious.

Yes. It matters not to me, as I have no money, unless I win the raffle which ended a few hours ago... (checks) Nope... I got 4 raffle tickets, and the winner (whose name wasn't announced) only had 1. Oh well. So, yeah, no LBP for me for a while, delay or no delay.

The only thing that bothers me about this is that one group of people being offended by it makes them recall the game but if we, as christians, find something offensive they just call us "intolerant" or "prudish".

I don't think that's the case here. From what I've read, it's just Sony being overly cautious. Here's a story from 1up about the response from the American Islamic Forum for Democracy:
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3170818Muslims cannot benefit from freedom of expression and religion and then turn around and ask that anytime their sensibilities are offended that the freedom of others be restricted. The free market allows for expression of disfavor by simply not purchasing a game that may be offensive. But to demand that it be withdrawn is predicated on a society which gives theocrats who wish to control speech far more value than the central principle of freedom of expression upon which the very practice and freedom of religion is based.

Well, then I suppose I jumped the gun on that one. I am now annoyed at Sony instead of the entire world. Yay!

Considering the backlash Sony suffered from Christian groups in Britain over another game, I can understand their caution. Still, I side with the muslims on this. Now if they had a level depicting a visage of Allah...

But level building isn't all there is to LBP. You get the tools and what-have-you necessary for making the levels by picking them up while playing through the levels in the story mode. And there's a lot to pick up, too. Plus you can upload your created levels onto PSN and play levels that others have made. It's endless fun, really. You ought to at least rent it.
I got my copy after officially saying "sod you, Microsquash" and trading in all my Xbox 360 games for a few new PS3 ones. LBP is right up my alley. Haven't started creating yet, gonna wait til I finish story mode (if not necessarily 100% complete it). Still, I'm eager to see what I can come up with. I've already got an idea or two.
