Team Fortress 2 Continually getting some new updates!

First we had the
Medic Updates along with the new map, pl_goldrush and three new weapons. Today we get the new
Pyro updates along with two highlighted maps and some new weapons as well.
I'm pretty excited!
For those who don't care too much about TF2, check out Valve's latest video:
Meet the Sniper. I guarantee you'll get at least a chuckle out of it. =)

The game is only 15$ solo for the PC, right? I think I need to pick it up.

Dang, I really need to get my Boot Camp partition sorted out so I can FINALLY install my Orange Box and play (read: suck at playing).

EDIT: Hey, did you notice in the Meet the Sniper video that the Pyro he shoots is carrying the Flare Gun?

Yup. XD I actually unlocked all of his new weapons today!
And Etoh, the game is 20. But I simply recommend dishing the extra 30 to get the entire Orange Box.

*cough* You can play TF2 for free this weekend so if your curious you should try it out...*cough*
But yes, the new upgrades are fun...I especially like the air burst they've added to the Flamethrower though I haven't gotten down how to use it...oh well...

Being the type'a guy I am I actually bought the 360 Orange box the day it came out. I've enjoyed the hell outta TF2 as it is, but I think I'd get more out of it on PC. TF2 was actually the entire reason I was buying the Orange Box to begin with.

I don't like the 360's version of The Orange Box.
It's just so not as fun. D:

Excellent new content. Unlike the Medic update's bag of mixed nuts, the Pyro update is fairly intuitive: set people on fire, set people on fire, do not talk about fight club.
It'll be a bit before I can comment on new weapons, since I am one of the few people who feels guilty about farming achievements (not that I hold anything against those who do).

So it's possibly confirmed that the Pyro is a woman.
Besides the flowery handbag you see in the locker room and her hips that do not lie, Robin Walker from Valve pretty much
stated likewise.

...well, that's better then the alternatives...
I found the interview to be rather interesting and it shed some light on my main frustration with the Pyro class in general. Since it's one of my main classes(the other being Medic and more recently Sniper...) I've played as it quite a bit and honestly there were times where I just felt like I couldn't do anything but die. And many times it wasn't because of how skilled I was, usually it was because of well placed sentries and lots of Soldiers...also, based off of what Robin says in his interview I'm guessing that the Engie pack will be saved for much much later...darn, and I was looking forward to going into servers and finding my team to be entirely composed of Engineers...

A'right. I own the game, and I'm trying to gets it to work. I'm officially on Steam now. I've been having a lot of trouble connecting, though.
Edit: Can't connect. I mean, I've connected like... ONCE and when I went to adjust my settings so I could actually play without lagging out I froze. I've since had several failed attempts to even start the game up, and now that I'm in game I can't connect to any servers.

Hmmm, trouble connecting to Steam or trouble connecting while playing TF2?

My specs are all minimum or higher. *chuckles* I've done the spec dance before, so I try to always make sure now.
Peanut - Connecting to a server in game. I'm in TF2 and it's showing me a wide and available list of servers. I'm actually connecting to some. (I just finally got in to no2, so yeah)
Edit: Managed to stay in the game for a while. Still laggy, but I'm knocking all my settings down to the lowest. Man, I need a new computer.
Edit edit: nope. Just can't join games. >.>
Edit edit edit: Joined a few games and kicked a surprisingly large amount of butt (and got a few achievements!). I was in a game of goldrush and was slamming every controlpoint in the face personally when!... I bluescreened.
I'm gonna go get lunch. lol

Yeah. Adopting pentium processors kind of changed the face of the game for Apple.

Speaking of games and faces and Intel (not pentiums...) processors. I will be hopefully joining all y'all sometime next week.

Actually, they use Core 2 Duo processors - last I checked. Xeons for the Mac Pro (up to friggin' 8 cores!).
I'm going to head to my Apple Store and get this hard drive sorted out. I will be playing Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 by this weekend. I want to burn people with FIRE.

Ah, well, it may just be the quad-cores that are Xeon. It mentions them on the website.

The current Mac Pros (Not Macboks) all feature the quad-core xeon processors.
They're beasts. XD

Friggin' WANT. Of course, the one I spec'd costs about $27k, but it'd run a mean game of TF2, no?
