I apologize in advance if this thread already exists. If this is the case, Mods delete away!

Anyway I got into this game a few months back, after swearing up and down I never would. Well a few months later I am level 53 and having a good time.

So, who plays?
What is you side? Alliance or Horde?
What is your race preference?

If you want list your character name and what realm you play on.
I have alts but really only play one character. my highest alt is level 13, so I don't play them much at all.

My character:

Name: Bariki
Race: Tauren
Gender: Female
Preferred side: Horde (not hard to figure that one out)
Class: Hunter
Realm: Chromaggus
Guild: Best Little Horde House

You can share as much or as little about your character as you want :) I am just curious, not trying to get info.

Name: Sheleigha
Race: Night Elf
Gender: Female
Preferred side: Alliance (yes, we're mostly full of little kids, but horde are jerks and just wanna gank us while we play the role of softies and don't go after them :/ .... but now we do)
Class: Druid
Realm: Ner'zhul
Guild: Malignant Adversary

Hey the allies on my server are just as bad. They go out of their way to gank me -_-

I have decided that unless they come after me I don't bother allies, however most of the allies that come after me are ??

Ikimasu
Undead
Warlock
Level 54
Server: Burning Blade

I've played both alliance and Horde, and it seems to me that ganking happens at about the same frequency from both sides.

I've also experienced that Horde tend to be better and generally nicer players, however, this may just be due to the server I played on.

Morithron
70 Human Warlock
<Terrible Swift Sword>
Dark Iron

I've also got a bunch of alts, but given the lack of free time I have, I pretty much concentrate on raiding with my warlock.

Saltar
70 Night Elf Rogue
Stormscale server...
Prefer the Alliance... sure we get a lot of noobs and stuff but I dunno. Horde just seem like bad guys and I've always liked to play the "shaddy hero"... I'm evil when I want to be to the horde (Rogue is so fun to play XD) but other times I'm nice and friendly. But if they attack me its all over and I'll kill them 3 times over before I finally leave them alone for betraying someone who was just trying to help em out a little.

Haven't played in months though. I remapped my keys so now I suck and I never got around to relearning. Which is good cause I was spending way too much time on this game :P

Well I would be all for that, have the "CAA Templar" guild or something.

Only problem is we all have good characters we don't wanna get rid of.

Don't have to get rid of them, but it DOES cost 25 bucks for a move. I'm content with the server I'm on right now.

Well I am not content with my server, I am no good at PvP and even if I was, can't do much against 70 epics. I am sick of getting wasted when I am just trying to quest.

I just am not moving because I have friends on the server I am on.

Yeah I also like my server got some friends on it. I like it since its not full pvp its a Pvprp server so you can toggle pvp on or off

I wish I could, on PvP servers if you go into contested territory you have to be PvP. And all the higher lvl areas are contested.

Ehh, just gotta learn how to live with it. every character ive leveled has always been on a pvp server. Getting ganked isnt fun at all, but in some ways it can make you a better pvper. you just have to be smarter then the 70 trying to kill you, which most of the 70's that run around ganking lowbies are pretty dum. and your a hunter, the 3rd most annoying class in the game, you have many ways out of a fight, just gotta learn em :D

Yeah I know, but feign death and traps do not work so well on high levels. And the latest gank I got hit with was dished out by a 70 epic dwarf hunter, so he probably knows my tricks pretty well.

Level 62 Human Mage. Fire Spec
Realm: Uldum (PVE)
Guild: Order Of the Phoenix

I won't be playing much cause I'm in school and there's more fun stuff to do, but I do aim to eventually hit 70.

hehe, Frost trap, Conc shot, get distance, Aspect of cat and hide.

I recently successfully ganked a 70 epic paladin at level 55. was fun :thumb: But im a rogue so thats fairly easy.

I hate rogues, if they jump you its over. Them and Druids in cat form.

How far have you guys made it raiding wise (if you're leveled for it/do it at all)?

Someone has an alt in my guild and in her main's guild is off to beat Illidan tonight >_>

I got my T4 shoulders the other night off Gruul :D Pretty exciting with our progression, despite the whiners who left the guild saying we won't be going far :P

I've been in the guild for a long time, but I don't play much because I'm in school. I take it you joined it recently?

We've started SSC just before the holidays. We're about three weeks in and we were working on Vashj tonight. It's kind of ridiculous how difficult Vashj and Kael are compared to the rest of the bosses before them. Hopefully, we'll get her down next week so we can go back to TK. I've got one or two pieces of SSC/TK loot, but I'm mostly in tailoring epics and a Karazhan epic here and there.

I have a rogue and warlock on farstriders

my rogue (Galacian) has the s3 maces and a mix of s2 and s3 gear (im really upset since they nerfed rogues, they are now one of the worst classes for arena and compared to other classes its more work for less payoff)

My warlock (Zeychs) is in crappy gear but now that im less then 1k hp away from having 10k hp im eyeing it more and more as my main till they fix rogues.

edit

Didnt see the raiding comment. I was in the same boat as blkmage but I realized how much time raiding was taking and figured I would just go down to being a pvp person.

For me, it's like a goal with teamwork. Downing a big bad boss with your team, just makes you feel good :) Just starting arena tonight, pretty fun stuff (never bothered before but really need an upgrade from there).

Where I was at they raided 4 nights a week with an optional night from 7-midnight. Just ended up being to much time. And I enjoy arena more, besides how op druids are heh.

Also tips for arena from someone who almost got to 2k, you must have the pvp trinket, specially the upgraded one. Try to get around 9k hp in caster form and tons of resilliance. You can pretty much not worry about melee at all by shapeshift kiting around, then bear feral charge the healer and switch back to caster pop a few hots then cheetah.
Also feral is useless in arena (sucks I know) resto and a resto balance hybrid are the only specs that really work.

I just won 6/8 games last night being my first time and I have NO resilience nor the trinket >_> Apparently I surprised my partner. My dps gear has more epics than my tank gear (because a couple of blues are awsome). Gear is huge in arena, yes, but coordination is the main thing I believe. I totally surprised the first group too^^ They were... rather weak as well. I learn different things like 'ok, barksin takes me out of catform to cast it (never had it before), you can still debuff in iceblock, can't attack nor add other cc when someone is cycloned (didn't have that before either)'. A real learning process, but sure helps. Pretty fun trying to figure out what the other guys are gunna do^^
