This game looks awesome. It may be what convinces me to finally buy a current gen console.
Might have to wait for a review on this website, though, what with the Mature rating and all.

Here in Australia it's rated MA13+ for Strong Violence, Sex Scenes, Drug References.
Wow! That's pretty heavy content for a PC game!

I have to walk into those battles at least five times before winning. Sheesh. Also I'm not that far in to the game but if I choose to go with one planet (say, in my case, Noveria) does that close off the other options when I'm done there?

No...though I would suggest trying to get all the mini-missions on the Citadel done first and then working on the Galactic sub-missions, starting with the Hostage mission, then looking for the missing marines, and the freighter attack before going on to look for Dr. Turasi. Trust me once you get those small missions done you will be racking up those flyer miles.

Good to know it isn't as advertised in the commercials. I'll actually be able to help all those people. As for the citadel missions. I accomplished all but the scanning of the keepers. I couldn't find all the keepers. I did a bit on the biotic cult but figured I'd come back to that when I was a higher level so I could potentially charm out of it because we got wasted in seconds when combat started.

Has any of you finished it? I was wondering if the game ends when you finish the story line, like Zelda. I'll probably be picking up this game after christmas if i dont rebuild my computer.

no i doesn't yopu can visit the other planets whenever you want. It does mess the story up a bit having both sides together but nothing major

No where near finished, just now going to Peak 15 on Noveria and there's still about 30 + planets to visit. And GTF is right Mass Effect is slated for a Trilogy, I wanted Advent Rising to be continued as well....but Majesco dropped the ball on that one. Mass Effect will have a lot of different ways to play it considering you have at least 5 different career classes to choose from, and each character you create can have so many different background stories to them it's really amazing.

Yeah. I was driving up to Peak 15 myself, but I've just restarted as a Soldier instead of my biotic class.

I'm a Vanguard, and the fights on P-15 are awesome. No spoilers here but you might want to level up a lot, before going there.

As indicated by my avatar I too have been affected by the mass. The game is really good thus far, though I'm unsure where I currently stand with respect to time until completion. For those of you getting kicked in the teeth by the combat here's a few pointers.
- Use the power wheel! Pausing the game by holding down the right shoulder button and surveying your situation is extremely helpful in this game. If you don't pay close enough attention to your surroundings you will die. A lot.
- Use cover. Cover is your friend, especially when going up against an Armature or rocket launchers. Be sure to tell your squad mates to take cover as well. It's usually best to order them close to cover and then telling them to take cover. Otherwise they'll likely take cover in the vast expanse of "Shoot Me I'm an Idiot"ville.
- Keep your squad fairly balanced. Tech is a great thing to have. They can hit both Organics and Synthetics fairly well. Biotics are very powerful while combat classes generally can take more punishment. Plus the shotgun is oh-so-much fun.
- Don't charge things in the Mako unless they are huge or they only have rifles (don't charge rocket launchers). The Mako kills things at a distance very affectively but is not good at getting up close and personal where it's turret can't aim properly.
Other than that just have fun.

Yeah, there was evidently quite a bit that I was missing, but now I've restarted as a soldier, I'm hitting that stuff, and oh am I plowing some butts. It's great.

Have you tried decking a Colossus with the Mako? It's hilarious how those huge things flail around. Personally I'm usually listening to Highway Star. "Nobody gonna take my car!..."

See, every time I'm in the Mako I do everything I can to get the biggest jumps and try and flip the thing over... And now I'm gonna have the Dukes opening playing in my head every time I do...

XD My brother spent the better part of his first time in the Mako trying to flip that thing over, great fun. Never did get it quite over. I succeeded later, but not at all on purpose. Note to self, be more careful when careening down insurmountable precipices.

Oh it's really funny if you're going over a huge peak as fast as you can and hit the thrusters as you just go over the edge. The spinning, and rolling, and somehow just being able to land on all 6 wheels just makes me giggle. For, I know that I myself would be yelling and crying and pleading to God to save me if I were in the Mako.

My driving in the Mako generally gives me visions of Tali messing the faceplate of her mask.

That's what I did too, and got a special "compassion" type reward. Though you will run in to some rogue bugs on a deep space monitoring station.

Wow i havn't been playing at all. I am like 7ish hours in. I have been to busy getting my pc running. Anyone find the ship drifting through space with the guy with no brain activity and the girl who was keeping him alive. That was one of the creepiest most haunting parts in a video game i have played in awhile.
