Forgive me if anyone already posted this, I didn't see it anywhere.

This is Cal's band performing a video gamed theme half-time show. It's genius.

Why couldn't my marching band do things like that? Thank you for the link, however; that was rather entertaining. Unfortunately, I didn't recognize all of the game references. One must wonder why they only had a camera from this side of the field, as it made everything upside-down.

I would go to a football game just to watch that segment.

Which is really amazing considering I have no interest in the sport. XD

Well, let's see. In order of appearance:

1. Pong: Game Play
2. Tetris: Pieces
3. Mortal Kombat: MK logo followed by Dragon emblem
4. Pokemon: Pokeballs
5. Zelda: Triforce and sword
6. Mario (bunch of level themes)

Wow, that was awesome! My sis is in a high school marching band and she says she couldn't imagine hers doing something that elaborate. XD

Ah, then I only missed the Mortal Combat part; I thought the logo and the emblem were two separate parts of the performance. This is to be expected, I suppose, because I never played the games.

Hmm, are you not familiar with the Mortal Kombat theme then? Because this band rendition does not have any vocals obviously, where in the original someone yells "MORTAL KOMBAT!!" occasionally. It essentially a techno remix of the game's announcer sound clips, but the musical composition itself is quite memorable (I am not saying it is great, but memorable).

Here is the actual theme song on Youtube, one of many using DBZ to make a music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_cdnceHFA8

Actually, if you turn the volume up, you can very clearly hear the band yell "MORTAL KOMBAT!!", and some how I find something very funny about a marching band yelling "MORTAL KOMBAT!!".

I think that's very understandable. While I couldn't hear them shouting, the idea is funny.

After a few bars of your link I realized I have heard the theme, but I was completely unaware this was the Mortal Combat theme. I agree that it is memorable (hence why I recognize it at all). My unfamiliarity with this series is likely because my parents had concerns about games with blood or excessive violence; since then I have had relatively little involvement with the fighting genre.

That is amazing, both in terms of idea and complexity. Visually, I think my favorite part was the Tetris part.
