There. 62 games. I may edit this up to 100. NOW, I have played Final Fantasy VII. And I've beaten it. So, why isn't it on my list? Simple: I do like it, just not that much. In my opinion, the pacing was mediocre, the characters dry, and the translation terrible.
Kudos to anyone who beats my 60 games listed.

I don't think I could beat that, even if I played video games constantly for the rest of my life. My definition of "favorite" implies a fairly select group. This is not an exhaustive list, but Super Mario 3, Final Fantasy X, Chrono Trigger, LoZ: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario RPG, and Breath of Fire II come to mind quickly.

I can never only list a few... I always try, but then more games I love come to mind... And more... And before I know it, I've listed 50 games with more I want to put on ::sweat:

The Longest Journey (If you have patience, this game is simply mind-blowing), Psychonauts (For *anyone* who likes video games), and Grim Fandango (Amazing art direction, interesting story and characters, clever puzzles). No One Lives Forever 2 and the Monkey Island games are excellent, too.

My favorite games include Final Fantasy 6, Final Fantasy 4, Final Fantasy 9, Chrono Trigger, Half-Life/Half-Life 2, (Including mods like Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Portal, Team Fortress, etc) Bioshock, Starcraft, World of Warcraft, Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan, The Legend of Zelda series, Dance Dance Revolution, Beatmania IIDX, and Phoenix Wright.
Deus Ex may end up as a favorite as well. I need to play more to find out.

My absolute favorite of all time is Metal Gear Solid 3. I like the original better than the subsistence version in the gameplay for the main game, even though subsistence it worth getting for all the extras such as the original two metal gear games, neither of which saw a full release in the US (A watered down release of MG1 was put on Nintendo which actually removed the metal gear fight, and Metal Gear 2 never got released outside of japan... The NES one was not a real metal gear game)
After that,
Silent Hill 2
Final Fantasy 6
FF8
Seiken Densetsu 3
FF10
Secret of Mana
Chrono Cross
Chrono Trigger
FF12
MGS4 (well, the demo I played was awesome, anyhow)
(DDR... It can't be put in the same category as the other games, though...)
Shadow of the Colossus
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Rock Band
Mario 3
Ocarina of Time
Mario Galaxy
Mario 64
Eyetoy Play 2
Antigrav
There's more, but this is what came to mind...

Ooh, a fan of the Tales series! I haven't played Abyss or Phantasia yet, but Symphonia is one of my favorite games. I've also been watching the anime version of it that was released.
Anyway, a few of my other favorite series are:
Pokémon
Kingdom Hearts
Harvest Moon
Animal Crossing
Super Smash Bros. Melee
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Eternal Sonata (I haven't actually played it yet, but I want to so badly. I know I'll love it.)
Yeah, I'm obviously not an extreme gamer... but whatever. XD;

Super Smash Bros Melee (Must be mentioned due to the sheer amount of time I've played it)
Psychonauts
Halo: Combat Evolved (none of this sequel nonsense...)
Killer 7
Eternal Darkness
It should also be noted that Advent Rising is starting to gain favor as I play it.
Tarnish wrote:The Longest Journey (If you have patience, this game is simply mind-blowing)
I've been looking for this game for quite some time. Dreamfall has been sitting on my shelf, unplayed for the last few months as I've been searching for The Longest Journey. :/

Kingdom Hearts
Halo
Super Mario
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Ultimate Alliance
I remember one time I tried playing one of the Legend of Zelda games and it scared me so I returned it to the store. lol. I'm not completely sure why it scared me but it was probably the undead things. I was kinda young when I tried it. Hehe, I thought this was kinda funny.

I've always liked the "casual gamer" genre. (ex. Big Brain Academy, Brain Age, Nintendogs, Cooking Mama, etc.) Poke'mon games are awesome too. Hopefully I'll be buying a few RPG games soon.

Riven is the best game I have ever played. After Riven comes Shadow of the Colossus, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Full Throttle, Pikmin 2, and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes.

Riven is like the only one in the Myst series I haven't played >.< But ya, Myst, Chrono Tigger, LoZ: Link to the Past, and Shadows of the Colossus are pretty much the cream of the crop IMO. LoZ: OoT Master Quest is a favorite as well (Original OoT is good but I prefer more puzzles and Master Quest certainly upped the challenge in that aspect).

I'd say pursue Riven, if you liked the others. For me, it was the most enjoyable in many aspects. Also the only that motivated me to beat it without cheating, though different people find different games more difficult.

Vaguely established tiers. Cut games I haven't completed.
1. Final Fantasy IX (RPG)
2. Metal Gear Solid 3 - Snake Eater (Stealth/Action)
3. Full Throttle (Adventure)
5. Red Alert 2 (Strategy)
6. Sonic Adventure (Platformer)
7. Chrono Trigger (RPG)
8. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles (Side scroller)
9. Oddworld - Stranger's Wrath (FPS)
10. Age of Empires II - Age of Kings (Strategy)
11. Commander Keen (Side scroller)
12. Zork Grand Inquisitor (Adventure)
13. Sim City 2000 (Simulation)
14. Melty Blood (Fighter)
15. Resident Evil 4 (Action)
16. PsychoNauts (Platformer)
17. Metal Gear Solid (Stealth/Action)
18. Riven (Adventure)
19. Oddworld - Abe's Oddysee (Platformer)
20. Broken Sword - Shadows of the Templars (Adventure)
Definitively, Final Fantasy IX is my favorite game of all time, followed sharply by Metal Gear Solid 3. Full Throttle is still my first and favorite Adventure game, although Sam and Max or Grim Fandango will give it a run for its money in the near future. I believe Red Alert 2 to have the best single player campaign mode, but Age of Empires II to have the better multiplayer. Sonic Adventure is my favorite (and the last great) rendition of the series so far, although as a critic, I would probably rank Sonic 3 & Knuckles higher over all. And Oddworld Stranger's Wrath will outclass every other FPS until the genre learns to start innovating more; and yes, I would consider it far superior to Half Life and Halo.
Questions?

And even though I don't play it anymore, Ragnarok Online will always have a place in my heart. D:
And my brains is dead atm, so my short list is even shorter than it already would've been.

If i had to name 1 favorite it would have to be the Tribes series, minus the last one. Both those games got me into gaming altogether, as well as were some of the most strategic games ive ever played. They also required more skill then most games do these days.
my favorite list after Tribes 1 and 2 would be
Half-Life 1 and 2
WoW
FF7
Mario Galaxy
Starcraft
Warcraft
