CAA Pokemon Tournament 2: Level 50 Doubles
PostPosted: Mon Aug 13, 2007 11:02 am
I would like to thank everyone who participated in the last tournament for making it so successful and fun for everyone. And once again, congratulations to our Level 50 Singles champion, SonicRose!
So now, it's time to do it again, before the end of the summer! This is a tournament for the game Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl. We play online using Nintendo WFC, a popular tool used for trading and battling with friends from around the world.
Pokemon Diamond Pearl: Level 50 Doubles Tournament
Rules
The rules of this tourny are fairly simple.
1. No Legendary Pokemon. Chances are, if you find its name on this page, it's not allowed in this tournament. All other pokemon are allowed.
Extended: There are some pokemon that are, as of this date, impossible to obtain in some reigons. Please do not use these pokemon if your reigon has not made a legitimate way to get them yet. Cheating Devices are frowned upon here.
2. If you have one pokemon left and it uses a move like Self Destruct or Explosion, you are disqualified from the game. This is the rule that is found in the Stadium series. Chances are, it is in place in Diamond and Pearl already too, but I haven't tested that.
3. All of the pokemon in your party must be unique. This means, for example, you can have a (1, one) Pachirisu on your team, but not 2 or more. You may, however, have a Squirtile, Wartortile, and Blastoise on your team.
Pokemon like Unown and Burmy are all considered 1 type with respect to this rule, whether they look different from eachother or not.
4. All items are allowed in this tournament. Since you can't use items from your bag, this means that they must be held by the pokemon when entering battle. Note that items like Potions and Revives can't be used by pokemon, so these kinds of items are not a problem.
5. Your party may change between battles if you wish.
It is your duty to uphold these rules and to hold your opponents accountable to them. If you spot someone cheating by going against those rules, it is your duty to report them to me. (It's not like I can be a spectator in matches)
