Gaming glitches?

OK, this is a thread for people to post all the amusing, confusing, and other types of glitches you have found in various video games.
For instance, I've come across a couple in one of my favorite games, The Legend of Dragoon.
First, I was travelling in an underground area of a city, on my way back up to the city (Bale, for those of you who know the game), when all of the sudden, I was back on the world map, on a path that could only take me to the town I started in! I entered the town, and was stuck. I saw the indicator of where the character was, but it showed him as off-screen, and I couldn't get him down on-screen. Somewhat irritating.
Second, I was heading to a place called the Valley of Corrupted Gravity (to early for storyline purposes), and when I got on the world map, I opened my "camp menu," to change my party, there was a character available who had died earlier in the game and been replaced (Lavitz!)! He was level 99, D-level 99, with 9999 HP, 999 MP. I tried putting him in the party, but the instant I got into a fight, the game froze up. (for those of you who don't already know this, LotD has a level cap of 60, and a D-level cap of 5.)

Any of the early sword-and-rocket glitches from Halo 2. You wouldn't imagine the amount of hours I wasted with that. Lots of nights staying up past 5.

How about our neighbourhood friendly Missingu?^^ Now THAT'S a worthy glitch^^ The only minus is even after finding a lv 151 Snorelax and Rare Candying him to lv 250, is that after you shut off the game and turn in on again, he goes back to 151 :/ Really, he isn't OVERLY strong but it's just a neat number^^ Oh! Also when you check your League Hall of Fame, sometimes new sound effects pop out of nowhere and the background can change to something that's not even supposed to be in the game^^ Eerie sometimes, but neat^^

Ah, yes! Missingno! Using that glitch, I managed to catch a level 180 Mewtwo (thank GOD for item multiplication on Master Balls)! Then I got him into an xp fight and he went down to lvl 100. :waah!:

Missingno ended up erasing my game... I don't think it's a glitch... I think it's an anti-cheating virus...

in Super Smash Bros Melee, "wavedashing" was a supposed glitch that the game makers decided to keep in the game to make it more interesting. and it has, indeed, made the game more interesting...

In Ribbit King, if your frog is hit in a tree, then your character literally is inside the tree.

Glitches? Oh, I've found glitches...the Teen Titans game has a few. Like, in the Titans Tower battle arena, you can knock another character through a barrier and they won't lose or anything.

That's an awesome glitch, Adie. I've always thought the Zelda games had some pretty interesting glitches. One of the best is the whole glitch world thing you can do in Link's Awakening.

Here's a peek at it: http://youtube.com/watch?v=hdmb4hppjlk

There's also the "select glitch" in that game which lets you do some really crazy stuff, as seen here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=rdMQ2SaS688&mode=related&search=

I've also heard that there's a glitch in Majora's Mask that lets you be Fierce Deity Link at any time.

And also... there's the legendary minus world glitch in Super Mario Bros. that can't go without mentioning. http://youtube.com/watch?v=K_RN7TarW9Y&mode=related&search=

I really hate it sometimes in Sonic 3, you get stuck in weird places that aren't part of the usual landscape and you can't get out until you restart the game.

Everything you ever wanted to know about all 100+ (really!) glitch Pokemon ever

I once had a super-annoying glitch happen to me in Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. I was in Tails' visit to Tikal, and I STARTed through her talky scene. I saved the game and then restarted Tails later... and was trapped in the past with no Tikal. >< Darn gamebreaking glitches...

Also, as an amateur game designer of my own (Game Maker is my friend, ha ha), I've had my own strange glitches happen when testing code. Weirdest thing that ever happened: I was testing an item called Carrot Seeds, which was supposed to plant Carrot Plants. However, instead of planting the proper carrot plant sprite, the Carrot Plant took on the appearance of a multicolored, flashing couch. O.o Psychadelic Couch Seeds... Hmmm...

I secret of mana, you can get back into Potos (and some other places such as that) if you have more than one character, and jimmy yourself up by pressing select over and over... Only works when the character you're trying to go through is passable by the characters you don't control.

Another one is that you can use magic on the ferryman at the moon palace. Pretty freaking funny. One unfortunate glitch, however, ended with me stuck in Thanatos's room right after the Dark Lich fight... Couldn't move on to the Mana Beast... That sucked so bad...

I think the weirdest two Glitches that ever happened to me were:

-I was playing A Link to the Past. Can't remember what dungeon. Well, I was hit by a "bunnifying vortex" and a fireball at the same time. The fireball killed me, but I was still invisible. A bottled fairy revived me... and I was still invisible. I must've been a bunny, too, because I couldn't swing my sword... but I COULD, somehow, fire energy beams. Very, VERY odd.

-I was also playing a Nintendo 64 game once called "Duck Dodgers." (It's pretty much exactly what it sounds like--Daffy Duck in space. It's actually a fairly fun game.) In the first level, there are your standard mine cars... but I rode one outside of the game! o.o It suddenly froze after passing through a door, and every move I made left an image of Daffy on the screen. I fell off the mine cart and began swimming in nothing, with a trail of Daffies following me... Really, REALLY creeped my pre-teen self out, and I turned off the game. Had to re-get a couple atoms if I recall correctally...

Had a weird glitch in Pokemon Silver where my Golem turned into a Beedril and had a Venasaur with Karate Chop in all four move slots. I was even able to use that Venasaur in Pokemon Stadium 2 without any trouble at all. o.o

How come nobody's ever mentioned Minus World yet?

What game is that from? It sounds interesting.

:eh:

*mind explodes*

The famous minus world from Super Mario Bros. on the Famicon. XD

Well, I've experienced the most glitches on Big Rigs Over the Road Racing. I don't know how many times the trucks have either fallen through bridges or gone through mountains.

:hits_self

The best one I did unintentionally was in Shadow of the Colossus (PS2). After I had defeated one of the colossi Wander instead of falling to the ground instead flew up towards the sky. Eventually I hit an invisible wall and died, but the game continued anyways.

:dizzy:

I discovered a room that was, I think, where the GMs met in Everquest. I was in one of the old dungeons when I was hit with both a rush of enemies and a severe lag spike and ended up clipping through the wall behind me. What I found there will forever live in my mind.. The wall was plastered with a bmp of a CAT!

This wins something, I'm just not sure what.

How old is Everquest, anyway? I forget. This may be the first ever lol recorded on behalf of cats in Internet history.

It was made in 1998 I think. But oh em gee. That cats thing is so messed up!

You remember in Zelda: Twilight Princess that there was a terrible glitch? When you get to the sky cannon and exit the game, then you can't do anything.

Yeah, it was 1998 and that was in one of the first dungeons... I found it in like 2001 or so.

ROFLOL...actually, I'm sitting in my chair, so it's more like SIMCLOL, hahahaaaa...

I like the 'zero world' thing, the 'magical transforming pokemon', and the true 'lol; cats!' thing. Here's some more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRXM-eItyS0&mode=related&search=

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRUc8xxedis&mode=related&search= (We even got the first one to work on our game, lol! And the last one for the most part as well...however, we didn't exactly make it to the underground and kept falling...with the fated 'Game Over')
