Just got it today and the graphics and stuff look great^^ Looks alot more interactive and everything, compared to my usual WoW. I have a feeling I'll be making an elf lore master which seems to be a theme since I last had a night elf druid :p Guess I'll see how it goes!
Anyone else jump on the brand-new 2+ million bandwagon?

No... I'm waiting for Warhammer. I would like to try LOTRO because I'm familiar with alot of the middle earth lore and land(I was a tolkien nut till the first movie came out then everyone else kind of stole its thunder from me...) and it would be fun to quest and visit these areas, but its just seems too similar to WOW and I really don't wanna start over... My WOW character is about 10 bars from 70 and that took a looong time to reach... especially when I pretty much hate the PVE aspect of WOW. I just wanted to get to 70 to own in PVP
Warhammer is supposedly much more PVP oriented (actually battling for control of towns, XP gained from PVPing, etc) which, if thats true, I'll be dumping wow like a rock
If Warhammer sucks, then I'm gonna try Age of Conan or whatever which also sound pretty PVP with building and construction of defenses or going and attacking other player built towns and stuff. LOTRO is just standard RPG WOW type stuff and WOW is good enough for me
I do likethe life time membership fee of 199$ to play for life instead of paying 15 bucks monthly or whatever.

One huge reason why I actually got into it, was because they have easily accessible game cards to buy at EB/Walmart/etc^^ Still need a Visa...
So looks like I did become an elf lore master and it's not bad of a game thus far. lv 5 at the moment, and although they say that these quests are different from WoW (aka "funner" apparently), I really don't see a difference^^ It still involves "find this" "kill x amount of monsters/beasts". Still, a bit of a nice change of pace for if I get frustrated on WoW (a mere lv 33ish^^). Apparently the highest lv on LOTR is 50 and a downloadable expansion will be out on the 13th.

..... Wait.... 200$ for a freaken lifetime membership?
I guarantee you that most people will quit this game before they play 200 dollars worth. What a way to suck money XD Smart developers.

If they charge 15 dollars a month and you play for a year you pay 180 dollars. Some WOW players have been playing for 2+ years.

Yes, I'm coming back to this topic...
Well, after playing for many many weeks and up to lv 23, this game is AWSOME! The people on it are quite mature (heck, half the people are married with kids in this game!) the enviornment itself is more mature and friendly, graphics are great, questing and everything is so fun and just... wow. Guess I'm just surprised that no one else (that I know of on here) has tried it out yet^^ It's an RPG lovers dream... And apparently a new patch that's coming out in a few months will allow house building! Now THAT'S exciting^^
