Okay, so I'm a girl whose been gaming for -almost- nine years now, since the second grade! I started out with a Game Boy, Pokemon Pinball and Kirby's Dreamland 2 (I will never forget!)
Sometime last week my Stepdad, Brian, suggested that prehaps I should trade some of my games to our local GameStop. I thought of all the games and what have you that I had just laying about my room, beaten, abandoned, collecting dust and never played anymore. So I agreed. I needed the money. I wanted to get Pokemon: Diamond Version soooooo very badly.
I ended up in my room today, shuffling through my clutter looking for any game I could find. DS, GBA, GB, GC, PS2....whatever I could get my hands on.
I'll skip all the long details and say that I sold many GBA, GB, DS, and GC games, along with one PS2 and my old GBA/2 chargers
They did 2 transactions and I ended up coming out of the store with a new Onyx DS Lite, (I own 2 old ones, one of my best friends is getting the better one--she was always asking for my oldest one, and that thing is junk...she'll be so surprised! She was saving up for her own, and now she'll be able to get herself Diamond and her sister Pearl) Pokemon: Diamond, and 2 DS Headsets, one for me and one for my other best friend; as an early B-Day present. Yeah, all we had to pay total was $11.00!! It was wicked cool...especially since I was just telling the friend I'm giving the DS to, today actually, that I wasn't going to buy anything until the 23rd of June. Then suddenly I have all this money at my fingertips....and gosh, I am such a spender XDDDD! It's a girl thing, I swear!
Anyways, I'm letting my DS charge for the night, starting my game tomorrow. I'm so freaked! Just when I was struggling financially to scrap any money together, I have $170 or so sitting there in used games. Who knew? Mom's just happy I'm finally cleaning my mess X3 Wow, God does like to work in odd ways
I told Mom I'm going to have to have her take my DS during Finals Week coming up, since I'll be so addicted I won't be able to put it down otherwise. LOL!
Hah, as you can see, I'm pretty riled up right now, EXTREMELY HAPPY HERE!!!! Ohmygoshness, I'm overjoyed.
lol Rant End.
