I want to get Dance Dance Revolution SuperNova along with two cheap pads. Are any of the dance pads compatible with a PS3? as that is all I have.

No, BUT (and I think it's out this month) there's a special connector you can buy that hooks up to the USB plugin. So you might be looking at 30ish dollars USD extra for those 2 plugins :/ These also help connect to things like Guitar Hero and so forth...
EB link for one
EDIT: Well, according to the link it only tells you about GH2 and the reviews... aren't too great :/ Maybe Sony will make an official adapter soon...

I sure hope they do too :/ I have DDR and Taiko Drum Master and my guy wants to get GH2 (before waiting for the 3rd to come out a yearish from now) sooo a GOOD adapter would be very nice^^

Specialty controls are not compatible with PS3, even with USB attatchments... Sorry... It may change down the road with a firmware upgrade, though... Also, Bemani line and Sony haven't exactly seen Eye to Eye since Sony wiped out Karaoke Revolution with Singstar... So, don't expect a DDR on PS3 any time soon...
It sucks that you don't have a PS2 to play it on... And it sucks Sony made singstar in competition with Konami instead of working with them to make Karaoke Revolution NOT SUCK... I don't care about KR, but DDR I care deeply about... Thankfully, I won't be getting rid of my PS2 until it breaks, but I hope Sony and Konami make up and get a DDR on PS3... 4 player wireless DDR should be awesome...
My biggest shame as a PS3 fan is NOT lack of games, because so many awesome games are coming in the next 6 months it entirely makes up for that. It's not lack of rumble. It's not the price... It's... lack of DDR...

Well, as of late Wii is getting the next DDR (which involves dancing moves so that the remote can be used too). Sounds... interesting, yet hard :/

Yeah, a wii version and a 360 version are both coming, but not PS3 because of Singstar... Stupid Singstar...
I'm sure Konami will eventually realize that nothing will hit PS3 to compete with DDR, so they'll want the money that releasing it on PS3 will give them... Hopefully...

Ok, just went to EB today to ask them about an adapter. According to them, and now I don't know if it is the same one I linked to, but they said that in a couple of weeks we would be getting an adapter (since us Canadians are sometimes a little behind you American majority). So apparently in America this connector is out already, it's just a matter of searching... Probably a generic brand though, but if it works, that's good enough!
I suggest maybe asking an EB employee about it and they should know SOMETHING at least^^

review on EB wrote:finally have an adapter that works for DDR. After v1.7 system update, other adapters worked, but would not allow simultaneous (jump) steps to work. This one is 100% compatible, including the jumps. It has a switch on the side to make GH2 work, but I don't have this game, either, so I can't say if it works or not.
Wow... Finally... I couldn't care less about GH2, I know GH3 is coming to PS3 as well as Rock Star, but DDR will finally work on PS3! Thanks for the info, Tenshi.
I didn't know they could change the adapter to make it work on the PS3... I thought it was a software thing...

Pelican claims to have made a workable adapter(:eyeroll: ) that will be or is already out. It apparently works well enough to be playable with DDR but some are saying it gives terrible performance or just doesnt work with GH controllers, usually at Hard or Expert.
Back at the end of March though, Nyko said they couldnt figure out how to do it without involvement of Sony. The main issues are the Whammy bar and strumming mechanism.

The first link you posted. I didn't bother looking at it because I didn't think they worked, but when you said a new product was coming that was supposed to work, I decided to check it out.

I'm only ASSUMING (and hoping) that they were referring to a different one... I'll probably check back there within a month to see if it is the Pelican one or not. But I mean, it would be SO cheap to buy a PS3 and not be able to get all the adapters to transfer from your PS2 :/ I've got my memory card adapter and that thing comes in nice and handy^^
