I don't have a wireless router at home... I may want to get one for this, though... And for when my parents decide to buy a laptop.
It seemed to play pretty much like the single player game, except for the text messaging and the saluting. I never figured out how to salute...
What I noticed while I was playing is that I got shot by people I could never see... Not surprising, this is a STEALTH game so I'm sure they had good hiding spots and I didn't, because I didn't know the level... The other problem was lag... Lag on PO was different than lag in other games I'd played... Instead of everything stuttering, my character just... stopped moving... Of course, maybe that wasn't lag... Maybe that was a cheater trying to target me easier... I don't have TOO much experience with online, but I know cheaters are a big problem in every online game... I don't think I'd be able to handle too much of that, so I may not play online a whole lot if that's really common.
I'll play it tomorrow night, when I go to the coffee shop. Hopefully I'll be able to re-recruit the 2 soldiers I got there... I accidentally deleted my file after, like, 3 hours on the thing... At least it's not like when i played Final Fantasy and saved over my almost to the end file... Or had a friend do that, too... That's happened before...
What I HAVE been doing with the game, though, is finding different wireless spots to recruit. You need access to the wireless routers (as in, passwords too) to go online, but you only need to FIND one to recruit a new soldier... It's sorta like pokemon with people. And I absolutely love it...
