Not sure if this should go into the Anime section.... I have always seen Pokemon as a Nintendo thing so....
Anyway, I know we got a few Pokeman fans, and I know some of you are just curious.
Here it is.

Wow... That's insane! I mean, obviously it's a person doing that voice, but it's weird to see it actually come out of a person's mouth.

That is both hilarious and awesome. You, sir, win.

Creepy... very creepy...
I think I'd rather try and forget that there are voice actors doing those sorts of things. As BobTD said, its weird having those noises come out of a live person's mouth.

Hehe I'm not surprised^^ Those Japanese seiyuu are talented, and she's been in some other anime as well that I've heard her roles on (Pikachu would be her most well-known though, obviously). Those guys in it sure sound amused by it though.

Yeah, she also does Chopper in One Piece, Konohamaru in Naruto, Gash in Konjiki no Gash Bell!!, and Mitsuhiko in Detective Conan.
So, this particular seiyuu has been in a number of popular titles.

Didnt' the voice sound familiar enough? It's the same person. Why would they have to redub it with another voice if the character has the same name? :/

I don't know. Usually characters get dubbed with different voices.

There is no English Pikachu... Pikachu's voice is the same in every Pokemon dub worldwide... As is Raichu, and all the other Pokemon that retained their Japanese names.

Well...her voice was pretty high to begin with. Combine this with the fact that *someone* voiced every single character in the Disney films, and I'm not really shocked. Though I did find the voice really cute.

Yes, the voice and the it not being "actually" Pikachu is really creepy but....
Did you realize that this post came up in a forum search for pokeman? NOT Pokemon, but Pokeman.
Just wanted to point that out.

That's because Omega spelled it both ways (I'm assuming "Pokeman" on accident). Seeing that "Pokemon" is the correct spelling, more threads on that subject matter would bound to show up.

Well at least it doesn't come up if you search "Pogiemun"

I did find it a little unsettling to see that voice coming out of the mouth of someone who looks like a kindergarten teacher... but I can fully sympathize with the MCs reaction.

I'm going to go with the disturbing/weird side over "cute" but it is interesting for the former quality anyway.

I'm firmly in the "Cute, but definitely ultra-weird" camp.
It's not strange when you and your younger siblings mimic Pokemon voices. But somehow, it is hard to imagine the being voicing the cartoon Pikachu as anything other than a tubby yellow mouse incapable of saying anything other than its own name. Would I love to be able to do a super-cute voice like that? Would I! But seeing the actual voice behind Pikachu talk like Pikachu is incredibly surreal, especially to my inner 10-year-old.
