suggestions on DS lite?

Postby Miso_Chan » Mon Oct 02, 2006 10:05 am

hey!

i'm going to try to buy a DS lite in the not-to-distant-future, but first i must convince my parents.

this thread as it relates to the title, is how to convince my parents to let me get a ds lite. here are some of the things, i already have a GBA SP, but i got it 3-4 years ago. they think its too similar.

also, what did YOU do to convince someone, or what would be a good idea? i am completely clueless!

Well I just bought my own DS Lite a couple days ago and before that, the onyl Game Boy counsels I owned were regular and Colour. yeah I was thinking about an Advance but when DS came otu and can play BOTH... well, then^^ Even better! It loosk like it might be tougher since yeah SPs are quite similarish. Hmmm I might wait a while on this for a game selection (since it's quite minor now^^) when it comes to convincing so they KNOW that the former version can't play those... OR even another option is to sell the SP and use the DS Lite for all your Advance play too... maybe^^

If you still plan on using any original GB or GBC games, it is handy to note the DS is only backwards compatible with GBA. So, if you plan on holding on to any pre-GBA games, you may want to keep your GBA, unless, of course, you already own one of the older models as well.

Meh, I have had to go through that alot but i didnt have to for my DS for some strange reason. I wrote a paper to get a GC. I forget my reasoning though. Maybe include that you can play brain age and cooking mama only on the DS and about how those games can help you in life. You can also include the trade in value if you dont want to keep ur SP. Possibly something about how DS wifi will allow you to come into contact with people across the world... Thats probably stretching it. These stratagies might have only worked for me. When I wanted to buy SSB for the N64 my dad asked me why i didnt go and buy a stock trading game :\ So yeah. I will try to find my GC paper.

yeah, i am planning to trade in my old SP at the same time that i'll get a DS. I have a gameboy pocket(whoo, the're old, the room is thivk with nostalgia...) which is twoci the size of my SP and also twice the size of my pocket...

funny, i am planning on getting brain age and cooking mama, they both seem like good games. its sorta funny, i was telling my father about brain age, and that it has sudoku, he was like"are you gonna buy it?" and i said"when i get a DS, i don't have one yet" and then he said"are you planning on getting a DS" and I said"yeah, but i have to get your permission first" and then he said"oh, well, i'll think about it..."

it was pretty funny.

i don't really play any of my original gameboy games, but just in case, my bother has an SP, so i can possibly play them on his game boy.

sayonara for now...

I have the bigger DS too. It does hurt after playing it awhile. I would guess that the DS lite reduces this effect.

I think it depends on the size of your hands. I have a Lite, but I also have small hands, so no problems. But if someone with large hands was holding a Lite, I can see how it might become painful quickly. It's something to consider...
