Just wanted to tell you guys that the XNA beta is up!

http://msdn.microsoft.com/directx/xna/gse/

What is XNA? Basically, it's a free tool to make games. We talked about it on the latest episode of the CAA Gamecast (Podcast), so you can listen to that here:

Check out the wiki page:

I'm about to run off to class, so I'm going to let my lappy download it while I'm gone. I’m very interested to check it out when I get back! -probably going to be a “me learning programmingâ€

Thanks, Link; you just reminded me to go update the thread I started on this at the Guild some time a week or two ago. :lol:

I was originally toying over the idea of porting The Traveller's Guide to the Xbox 360 (even though I've never actually seen one in action) when I first learned about this, but after looking through the FAQ I changed my mind and decided that porting my Visual Basic 6/DirectX 7 & 8 code over to C#/DirectX 9 (and having to learn C#) would be more trouble than it's worth. >_>;;

But for someone creating a new game from scratch, by all means go and check this out! :)

:lol: You know, MM, I was thinking about your game coming to the X-box 360 when I was posting this. -It would've at least got a download from me. :thumb:
